There is a Bank POLICY that says, If you receive a gift from a customer that's worth more than 10,000 in monetary value, you should declare it to your supervisor or HR. I think failure to adhere to this policy is tagged an integrity issue. Declare ke? Have you declared before?

The story of how the boy moved my powerbank and iOS cord. My powerbank went off yesterday and I had to use my dad’s own. I used it to charge my phone last night and today. I decided to take pictures today, as I would normally do and I carried the powerbank even though my phone was charged (you know how the iPhone battery runs). On getting to the location of the Sunday shoot, my sister was struggling with holding the powerbank and taking the pictures. So I removed the powerbank and kept on a window so her hand can be free to handle the phone. After taking enough pictures we forgot about the powerbank that I left on the window. As we were heading out, one guy came around, I know him actually. He started saying things like “Ada, you’re glowing oo, you’re fine oo” I just said “Na God oo” and he was like won’t I come and greet him and I said “Which greeting pass this one wey I don do?”, mind you, I greeted him “Good afternoon” initially, I don’t know what he was expecting, a hug, a handshake, a dobale etc but I didn’t have any of those things to offer him. So myself and my sisters playfully left the place, and then the jumped the short fence to the other side (the side where the powerbank window was) we noticed that when he jumped he spent some time there but we didn’t think so much about it.(apparently he was waiting for us to go before he’d move it) I went home , I edited my video and my battery was low, that’s when I started looking for the powerbank. I looked everywhere and I didn’t see it, my siblings joined the search, in fact they went back to the shoot location and it wasn’t there. I decided to go by myself and I met his parents at home and I was asking “Is he around?” “please did see you see him with powerbank and cord?” and the father said “I dey follow am waka?!” meaning “how would he know?” They gave me a number to call but it was unreachable. The parents kept turning me (I’m not sure if they were turning me or if they were just doing their thing) Long story cut short, I got tired and left, I just stayed at the junction, I saw him crossing and coming home. I asked him if he saw the powerbank but he said “No, I didn’t see your powerbank oo, I didn’t carry it oo” I just said “okay” and left. It’s paining me so much because the powerbank was for my dad and it was a gift to him.🥹 I actually wish that I’ll wake up tomorrow and see it but that may not happen because chances are high that he moved the powerbank and cord and he has probably sold it at a giveaway price. What a day!

I just hope wherever he is, life is treating him better. Some losses you cannot explain, you just feel them. 🥺

Last Friday, I was on my way to Agege. I got to Ayobo and boarded a newly bought maruwa(Sha Sha) you could see the joy on this driver's face, the keke was still "tear nylon".

He came down, looked at it and started shedding tears. The joy on his face disappeared in the blink of an eye. That maruwa he saw that morning could never be replaced. The guy cried 🥺🥺

At Iyana Ipaja, he collected his money and was about to head back to Ayobo. Then one of those big yellow buses crushed his maruwa from behind. 🥺

When we got to Command, his guys stopped him just to hail him. He came down, dancing and spraying money 😂 At Moshalashi, Lagos traffic hit us and this man came down and started dancing in traffic. I could not stop smiling 😂

We started our journey to Iyana Ipaja and this guy changed the song more than 5 times. Just too excited. You know that joy you feel when you finally get something you've wanted for years? That was him.
