The lady who braided my hair the other day shared a painful story with me. She once walked in on her husband having sex with another woman right inside their home. Despite the deep betrayal, the pain, and the emotional sickness it caused her, she chose to stay in the marriage for the sake of her children. What struck me most was that she’s the one running the household. She braids hair and does other salon work to pay the children’s school fees and put food on the table.
