Hello everyone 👋 I’m Emmy. I’m a Software Developer, Computer Science graduate, and startup builder. I build applications, AI agents, and scalable backend systems designed to handle real-world traffic and scale reliably under load. I’m also open to gigs, collaborations, and exciting opportunities. Beyond development, I enjoy educating and sharing knowledge. I regularly post technical threads breaking down complex engineering concepts, alongside non-technical content around tech, startups, growth, and things I believe developers should learn. If you’re seeing this, I’d love to connect with like-minded individuals: Developers, Engineers, Startup Builders, Entrepreneurs, AI enthusiasts, professionals, and prospective clients 🤝 Especially people building in the AI space. Looking forward to learning, connecting, and growing with you all. Nice meeting everyone 🚀

If you plan on taking software development as a career, don’t just watch courses like movies. Build along. Don’t just copy code blindly. Watch a module, then try to replicate it on your own. When you run into bugs, try using ChatGPT to explain them. A prompt I recommend is: “Explain this line of code to a beginner using real-life examples.” That’s one of the best ways to learn. I repeat: if you’re a complete beginner, don’t rush into using Claude, Codex, or other AI coding agents to build everything for you. You have no business doing that for now. First, get your foundational knowledge right. Later, you can use AI as an assistant to make you more productive. Get your hands dirty 👨‍💻 That’s where real learning happens

The biggest mistake beginner programmers make isn’t choosing the wrong language. It’s building nothing.

Day 11 of learning Frontend Development (React + Tailwind) Building Forever – E-commerce Website 🛍️ I finally started work on the e-commerce project today. The goal is to build a 9-page online store for a clothing brand. Today was focused on setting up the project structure, creating the required pages and components, and building the navigation bar. Over the next few days, I’ll continue implementing the remaining pages and features as I gradually bring the project to life. Stay tuned 🚀

Day 10 of learning Frontend Development (React + Tailwind)
Today, I didn’t write any code due to other engagements, but I spent some time revisiting Tailwind CSS sizing and responsive design concepts.
 Quick sheet:
✅w-full → Takes 100% of parent width ✅h-auto → Height adjusts automatically to content
✅h-screen → Full viewport height
✅min-h-screen → At least the height of the screen
✅ max-w-7xl → Prevents content from becoming too wide on large screens
✅ mx-auto → Centers content horizontally
✅ w-screen → Full viewport width
✅ relative → Creates a positioning reference point
✅ absolute → Positions an element relative to its nearest relative parent
Tomorrow, I’ll get back to building the e-commerce clothing website. I feel like I’ve gone back and picked up some of the frontend fundamentals I had forgotten.
 On to Day 11. 🚀

Me: Joins a space. Host: Passes the mic to a guy. Guy 1: "Hi family, my name is xxxdccff. I'm an active engager. Immediately your post drops, I'm the first person to engage. ASAP!" Guy 2: "My name is Kaka, but you can call me Chief Kapo. I want to thank the host and co-hosts for this great opportunity because it's not easy at all. I need active mutuals. If you follow me, I'll follow back immediately. I'm even faster than Usain Bolt. Come to my DM for Turn On Post Notifications, I promise to do the same. I remain your humble Chief Kapo." Me: Laughing so hard in the background. 😂😂 Space ends... Two days later, you won't see any of those 'active engagers' on your posts again. 🤣🤣 Twitter is not a real place. 😂

On January 26 this year, I had less than 900 followers, no verification, no monetization, and I was still figuring X out. Today, June 20: • 3,400+ followers • Verified • Monetized • $500+ earned from X revenue • Multiple clients from X • Still growing One thing I’ve learned: Show up. Engage naturally. Share your work. Talk about what you know. Most people quit before momentum arrives. I almost didn’t even have this account. My previous account with over 2,000 followers got disabled, and this one sat inactive for years before I decided to give it another shot. What’s one thing you’ve achieved this year that you’re proud of?

How to Optimize Your Database 1 → Create Indexes on Frequently Queried Fields Indexes help the database find data faster instead of scanning entire tables or collections. Best use case → Fields commonly used in searches, filters, sorting, and joins. 2 → Avoid Selecting Unnecessary Data Only retrieve the columns or fields you actually need. Best use case → Reducing memory usage and query execution time. 3 → Optimize Your Queries Write efficient queries and avoid expensive operations when possible. Best use case → Large datasets and high-traffic applications. 4 → Normalize Data Appropriately Reduce duplicate data and maintain consistency. Best use case → Relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL. 5 → Use Denormalization When Necessary Store frequently accessed related data together to reduce expensive joins. Best use case → Read-heavy applications. 6 → Implement Pagination Never load thousands of records at once. Best use case → User lists, products, blog posts, and feeds. 7 → Cache Frequently Accessed Data Store commonly requested data in memory using tools like Redis. Best use case → Reducing database load and improving response times. 8 → Monitor Slow Queries Identify and optimize queries that take too long to execute. Best use case → Production systems with growing traffic. 9 → Use Database Connection Pooling Reuse database connections instead of creating new ones for every request. Best use case → High-concurrency applications. 10 → Archive or Remove Unused Data Large amounts of stale data can slow down queries and increase storage costs. Best use case → Applications with years of historical records. 11 → Choose the Right Database Not every problem needs the same database. Best use case → SQL for structured relationships, NoSQL for flexible and rapidly changing data. 12 → Scale When Necessary Use replication, sharding, or partitioning as your application grows. Best use case → Applications serving millions of users. Most database performance issues are caused by: → Missing indexes → Poor query design → Fetching too much data → Lack of caching Before upgrading your server, optimize your database first.

AWS EBS isn’t just storage It’s storage with options. GP3 for everyday workloads, IO2 for high-performance databases, ST1 for large data streams, and SC1 for archives. One catch: you can scale EBS volumes up, but not directly down. My lesson today... #AWS #DevOps
