@alinerearmand Completely agree. I get so annoyed when I see ppl on here and insta saying “ppl who don’t like it haven’t read the books, this is the real Lestat.” No, it’s not. I’d say the same for Armand. I love Assad’s Armand so much but show Armand and book Armand are different.

@_donkeybrains Because from being presented as an adaptation (change of media from book to tv) it became a rewriting with only some names from the original source and nothing else People are tricking themselves when they say Samstat is Lestat (same for the others)

Can someone explain why that one review or whatever said Lestat was afraid of Marius? No one in tvc is afraid of Marius. You can insult him to his face or put him through abject horrors and at worst he just holds a grudge. Lestat traveled the earth begging for him on his knees.

Where is the empathy Hannah M claims to have for Gabriella in the pages that she oversaw the writing of? Because Gabriella is the "grinning villain" in them, not her husband. As I said to oomf the other day, she's not given the grace other characters get for why they're flawed:

@_donkeybrains The only time Lestat was afraid of Marius is when he was spilling all their secrets through his songs, he feared Marius would have come and killed him like he promised Meanwhile Marius was showing his videos to Akasha like a proud father

I was so disappointed with Armand being used as the punching bag / butt of the joke again by high-school-bully-style writing choices that I logged off and I’ve never felt so good tbh.

HOTD s3 premier was a breath of fresh air and I genuinely enjoyed it. I wish they could’ve ended s2 with that ep because it would’ve been a great conclusion to whatever the hell that season was lol. I’m being cautiously optimistic about this season.

People arguing over Lesmand v. Nickistat, if THAT is your big issue, you all deserve the show you are getting.

While I know they’re gonna “do Devil’s Minion” (I’ll believe I when I see it, and I don’t count vampire Daniel the same as human Daniel w/ vampire Armand) I am not putting anything past them. They seem addicted to using the worst ideas.

@_donkeybrains I continue to feel such anger at Rolin for inventing Claudia’s SA that I only ever feel annoyance towards him whenever the event is brought up. So the pages being read intercut with Lestat’s canon assault was horror and blinding anger flip flopping inside me. 😅

Genuine question: how did everyone feel about using Claudia’s diary entry for that Lestat/Magnus scene? All I could think of was Claudia’s statement “it’s never been about me” but what do I know…

@_donkeybrains It was poorly done. We didn’t even get to see the turning. We never got to see him abandoned & Magnus jumping into the fire, as Nicki also does. The Bruce addition imo doesn’t add anything. They are making a mess trying to tie in all these OC. The story they are creating isnt TVL
