@NikitaBassiSNP Migration is not used how you say, it's used to raise gdp so government's can borrow more against it. If it was in the sectors we need and none on benefits it would be of use but only amounts that infrastructure and public services can keep up with. This is not what's happening.

The current rhetoric around immigration is dishonest and twisted. Immigration isn’t a burden, it’s essential. Our NHS, our care sector, our economy all rely on it. This country doesn’t just benefit from immigration, it needs it. #BBCDN

The ongoing closure of the Strait of Hormuz is deeply damaging. Getting global shipping moving is vital to ease cost of living pressures. The UK has convened more than 40 nations who share our aim to restore freedom of navigation. This week the UK and France will co-host a summit to advance work on a coordinated, independent, multinational plan to safeguard international shipping when the conflict ends.

Now that Orban is history, it's time for EU to go all in: First, finally push trough that 90 billion € aid package for Ukraine. Next, hit russia hard with the 20th sanction package. Put everything in motion which was vetoed and stopped by Orban ✊️

Today we discussed the Middle East crisis and its impact on Europe. The ongoing closure of the Strait of Hormuz is greatly damaging. The restoration of freedom of navigation is of paramount importance ↓ twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1…

A Restore Britain Government would back British drivers. How? Raise the speed limit on motorways to 80mph. Remove all 20mph zones, other than those outside schools or areas with vulnerable individuals. Our current 70 mph speed limit was implemented decades ago, for a completely different type of car with completely different capabilities - far lower safety standards, poorer braking, and less advanced handling. It is unnecessarily slow, plenty of other countries sensibly allow for more. 80mph is faster and fair, and Restore Britain would do the unthinkable - trust people to get on with their lives without such overbearing state interference. It boosts business, backs drivers and gets Britain moving. Support Restore Britain to make it 80.

@lerrieadesy_lm that’s why loads of them are suddenly happy to rent to the council cause they’re getting big big checks. All it would take is a law saying rented accommodation must charge in line with social housing.

Look if some mythical welfare recipient is getting £80k in benefits and you’re getting £80k in wage and theirs is going further than yours, instead of crying your eyes out about their £4 Tower of London discount, why don’t you ask them for budgeting tips

@WilliamT4479 They don’t have a nuclear bomb. There was a treaty to make sure they will never have a nuclear bomb and your guy tore it up. The bomb is just a pretext. That’s not why the US and Israel want to take over Iran.

Iran is allowed to enrich uranium under international law. Iran is allowed to have a peaceful nuclear energy program under international law. The United States is a dangerous outlaw nation running an outlaw regime. Other nations have a duty to enforce international law.

EU: I’m reading that the new Hungarian leader installed by Brussels, Péter Magyar, is far more conservative than Viktor Orbán and opposes unchecked Islamic migration. Why would the EU install a new leader even more opposed to its authoritarian regime.

Fellow Europeans: Britain hasn’t rejected you ♥️ 🇪🇺 Here is a typical British town. If you think more than half the people voted for Brexit in 2016 you’d be wrong. If you walked down the street only 26 in 100 of those you meet would have voted for Brexit. That’s the people wearing red T shirts.

I am genuinely struggling to understand this logic. If the rest of the world is willing to pay a small toll to Iran to keep oil flowing and stabilise markets, then why does the U.S. feel the need to block all shipping, especially when it is not dependent on that oil?

🚨 this is so important to understand. We will be ‘back in the EU” because unelected quangos rule the UK, it’s why we have over 600 of them To avoid scrutiny or even public knowledge over deals with the EU, Starmer plans to introduce just one piece of legislation. This acts as a framework, and within it hundreds of new EU aligned rules can be rolled out without a vote in Parliament or proper scrutiny. New rules for net zero, food, energy and manufacturing can simply be added to statute by a mechanism called a statutory instrument. It doesn’t involve you and you won’t get a choice or a say. Rule by quango isn’t democracy it’s like dictatorship and we must end it! 🚨
