Tinubu is appointing 31 state governors, he’s appointing senators and others, what a time to be alive. We warned you not to allow this man win
Imran Muhammad@Imranmuhdz

President Tinubu Directs Ex-Governor Ayade to Step Down from 2027 Senate Race Former Governor of Cross River Senator Prof. Ben Ayade, has yielded to a directive from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to withdraw his ambition for the Cross River North Senatorial District seat in the 2027 general elections. In an emotional statement released on Monday, Ayade disclosed that he was recently invited to Abuja for a high-level national consultation with the Presidency. Following the meeting, it became evident that the President wanted him to shelve his senatorial bid. “I yield to his request even as I pour tears of ill treatment and agony,” Ayade said. Ayade Lists Contributions, Appeals for Review. The former governor, who served two terms as governor and was a senator before that, recounted his significant contributions to the growth of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-South region. He noted that he was the first APC governor in the South-South and played a foundational role in building the party’s structure in Cross River State. During the 2023 presidential election, he delivered nearly 40,000 votes above the PDP’s performance in the state a historic feat. Ayade also reminded President Tinubu of his early support, stating that he was the first APC governor to push for Tinubu to be given the right of first refusal as the party’s 2023 presidential candidate. He popularized the slogan: “If Tinubu Can Fix Lagos, Tinubu Can Fix Nigeria.” Despite these efforts, Ayade said he has been sidelined for over three years without any federal appointment. He is, however, currently running a free transportation scheme as part of his campaign support for the President’s expected 2027 re-election bid. He appealed to the President to revisit the order, arguing that his federal constituency has only enjoyed senatorial representation for eight years, while his main opponent has had 20 years. Granting the opponent another term, he said, would amount to a fourth term in the National Assembly.

This is Ifeyinwa Peace Okwudu. The school administrator for Ezzy Nursing College, Enugu. She earlier suspended Joy Ezeugwu indefinitely for speaking against the rot in Uwani General Hospital, Enugu. She then arrested Joy Ezeugwu this morning and demanding N10 million for emotional and psychological damage. A student recently died in her school because of lack of care. 150 more students are in cue to be expelled.

💜 MAY IS LUPUS AWARENESS MONTH 💜
I announced the launch of my first book in April. I wrote this book after years of unlearning and relearning disability-inclusive language. And it’s completely FREE! I’ve been working in spaces where disability inclusion comes up all the time, and I kept noticing the same gap: some people care about disability inclusion, but they don’t always know how to communicate. The words, the phrasing, the assumptions… it shows up everywhere. If we can’t even get the language right, how can we start to advocate for inclusive systems? So, I went back to research, to real conversations, to lived experiences across disability communities. I questioned a lot of the language we’ve normalised, and I started breaking it down in a way that’s simple, honest, and actually usable. That process turned into a book. My book, Before You Say That, is a practical guide to disability-inclusive language. It breaks down over 150 everyday words and phrases we use without thinking, what we usually mean, what they can unintentionally do, and how to say things better. This book is not just theory, it’s something you can pick up and use in real conversations, in writing, in campaigns, in everyday interactions. And I made it free. It’s out now!! Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim, CON@ProfIsaPantami

While Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim Pantami, CON was in Abuja today evening, we heard about the emergence of a coronation which is called a "consensus" for all the elective positions in Gombe State. Legally, there can be no valid consensus without involving the aspirants who have obtained or completed their expression of interest and nomination forms. We advise all our supporters to remain calm and law-abiding. However, the total disregard for the provisions of the law cannot be ignored by us. The Nigeria Electoral Act, 2026, outlines the modes of nomination in Section 84 (2): Political parties are restricted to only two methods for selecting candidates in which coronation is not among them. The two methods are: 1) Consensus: A candidate may emerge if all cleared aspirants provide written consent to step down. If even one aspirant refuses, the party must revert to a direct primary. 2) Direct Primaries: Every registered party member has the right to vote directly for their preferred aspirant. The action is completely contrary to the provisions of the law, the directive of the National Party, and the instruction of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We urge our supporters to get ready for direct primaries after addressing major challenges in the APC database in the state. Our legal team is also working on addressing the challenges and observations. May Allah bless Gombe State and may Allah bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Thank you all. Signed: Professor Suleiman Mohammed From Gombe State. (On Behalf of all Supporters and members of Pantamiyya Movement). 03/May/2026
