Lagos is such a strange place.
You can literally be sleeping with someone who lives down your street and still never talk to them. No connection, no consistency, just vibes and silence.
Coming from places like Port Harcourt, Abuja, Delta, or Benin, it feels so different. There, social circles overlap, people know each other, and there’s at least some level of accountability. In Lagos, everyone can disappear into the noise.
It’s not even that people can’t connect, it’s that everything here is built for convenience and low emotional risk. Sex is easy. Real communication? That’s where people suddenly get “busy.”
And it’s not that open relationships are the norm. It’s more like… nobody defines anything. Just a lot of ambiguity disguised as freedom.
Lagos will amplify whatever you step into. If it’s detached, nonchalant situationships, the city will multiply it for you.
