Women intentionally test boundaries to know what they can get away with. When she lays her hands on you, don’t tolerate it.
Put “actions have consequences” into practice and let her understand that you’re not a weak man who can just be disrespected whenever she feels like.
She hits you for the first time without any consequences, she will make it a habit because she’s got the impression that she can get away with it every single time, and that’s how they slowly become abusive towards you.
Whatever reason that makes you think men are not supposed to hit women should be the same reason why a woman should never hit a man.

The best thing you can do for yourself is to choose women who like you. If you put yourself in a spot to be chasing women and doing too much just to “convince” her to consider being with you, that’s a simp behaviour and it’s completely self-degrading.
You can’t negotiate genuine desires.
The scarcity mindset will make you lose yourself respect and value. If the energy isn’t mutual, respect yourself enough to step back and move on. She’s not playing hard to get, she just doesn’t like you, leave her alone and find someone else.
Adopt the abundance mindset. You’ll always meet better-looking women with every 2 meters you cover.

If you’re angry with what she said, then you’re delusional. If you underrate the default hypergamy nature of women, you will continue to remain far from reality. You’re still living under a rock.
Invest in yourself, upgrade your life and secure yourself a better future. Women are not as honourable as you think. She doesn’t owe you anything in return and there’s nothing you can do to change that.

I was so pissed because, not that I can’t pay for my own food but it’s just basic manners to pay for a gentleman’s food. It clearly shows she’s not a responsible woman and that’s a red flag

Decades back, taking care of a young woman, taking her through school or to learn a skill to equip her and later marry her wasn’t a crazy thing to do. It was a very common thing.
But now, with the kind of women we have, even our mothers won’t recommend that for their sons anymore. Now it’s a crazy thing to do. Highly risky!
Your parents worked hard to make you the capable man you’ve become, and you also didn’t give up on yourself to achieve more. You deserve a woman whose parents also didn’t give up on her, and who has been able to achieve more for herself too.
It is not in your place to assume the duties of a father and family to a woman you’re not married to.
If you’re doing it out of pure generosity without expecting loyalty or her commitment in return, sure, go ahead.
But if you are doing it with the hope that all that sacrifice will lead to marriage someday, I have bad news for you.
Some lessons in life are very expensive. Don’t learn this the hard way.

My colleague sponsored his girlfriend through university after her OND, helped her through NYSC, and even used his connection to secure a banking job for her. Last night she told him: “Calculate everything you’ve spent on me. I’ll pay you back.” They’ve been together for years. According to him, when she finished her OND, he supported her through university; school fees, upkeep, the whole struggle. After NYSC, he also helped her secure a job at a bank. Life was moving fine. Then recently, he noticed something. She started coming home late almost every day. Whenever he asked what delayed her, the answers were always the same: “Work.” “Office things.” “Nothing serious.” But yesterday was different. She came home around 9pm. He simply asked, “Where are you coming from?” She snapped immediately. “You’re stressing my life. Can’t I be free again?” Before he could even react, she added the line that finished the whole conversation: “Is it because you got me this job? Or because you trained me in school? Calculate everything. I will pay you back.” My colleague said for a few seconds he thought he misheard her. He hasn’t blinked properly since last night.

My brother got his first job just with a firm handshake.
From the employer, his handshake said a lot about him and led to him getting the job right after confirming the required information.
I was still at university when he told me this, and that shifted my perspective. From that moment on, I’ve never underestimated the importance of a good handshake.
Sometimes, it’s not about what you say, it’s about how you show up.
