Regarding @Arsenalsgatan statement that: "the BIS has warned of a $100 trillion time‑bomb in off‑balance‑sheet derivatives and FX swaps that no one fully understands and whose unwinding would trigger a cascade" his core factual assertions are indeed dangerously accurate. The official BIS position is that the scale of these instruments is indeed staggering, their off‑balance‑sheet accounting treatment creates a genuine systemic information gap & the maturity mismatches could under stress precipitate a dollar liquidity squeeze and a chain reaction.
