Another child of an elected official on the Nuestra América Cuba convoy was Diego Sarmiento, a Harvard Law student and the son of Orange County Supervisor Vicente Sarmiento. Vicente Sarmiento, a Democrat, has served on the Orange County Board of Supervisors since 2023 and previously served as mayor of Santa Ana from 2020 to 2022 after years on the city council.

January 2025. Before Trump took office. Before Maduro’s capture. Before Venezuela’s oil stopped. If the limousine socialists visiting really cared about the people, they’d aim their “let Cuba live” campaign at those who take everything from us in exchange for “free” healthcare and “free” food and call it an accomplishment.

Cubans are once again being used as zoo animals. Liberals from across the world will visit them, take pictures, eat all the food Cubans can’t eat, and visit the places they can’t. They use them to show “socialism good, America bad”… and then they fly back home to their capitalist countries they claim to hate while telling Cubans those countries are evil.
