@_geraldeen The service agreement is the big one. The other two I would add: an NDA for any client sharing sensitive business info, and an IP clause specifying that ownership of deliverables only transfers after full payment. That last one alone prevents a lot of expensive arguments.

The 3 contracts every Nigerian freelancer MUST have before working with any client 🧵 1/ SERVICE AGREEMENT — defines scope of work, deliverables, timeline, and payment terms. Without this, clients can expand scope endlessly and call it 'what we agreed.'

Myth: You can give employees a 'bonus' as payment and avoid tax obligations. In Nigeria, bonuses are taxable income under the Personal Income Tax Act. Call it what it is — pay what's due to FIRS — and document it properly. Business shortcuts often become legal problems later.
