I truly think ranked pvp needs its own set of maps, almost all, maybe not outpost will just be camping and sniping. That’s all there is on perimeter, just people with thermals and snipers, or maybe restrict guns like in COD.

Use a better shield, you can’t two stab a blue shield. Takes at least 3 even with melee maxed out with implants.
If you die to an assassin it’s cause you’re not paying attention, I love going in with a free kit and stalking someone for their gear.

My only current complaint about Marathon is that the knife needs to be nerfed, it’s not exactly fun when a knife can kill you in two hits even with green shields, especially in solo play when an assassin sneaks up behind you, lands two hits, and that’s it, you’re done for.

This is probably the sweatiest game I have ever played. I only tried it once, and died to a team before reaching the 3rd security clearance. It only made me want to grind the factions harder so I have access to purple tier gear from the Armory. Unlock the factions is my advice

Cryo is a FPS MASTERPIECE!!! It takes all of the best things about PvP, PvE, puzzles, skill thresholds and world lore and mixes into a coherent and meaningful experience. It very much reminds me of Labyrinth from Tarkov, but 10x more complex. 10 hours and we survived 3 runs... It eats away at your gear but leaves you wanting more after every run, even with failure. This only being open a few days a week makes complete sense now. The stash size, limits on gear, schemas, gear value... It all came together. This game was amazing already, and I've been having a blast, but the CRYO experience is the keystone to the whole damn thing...
