I don’t think it opened a portal. I do think it put privileged people in a position where they couldn’t prioritize the privilege for the first time, and their worlds fell apart. I was homeless years before the pandemic. I promise, some folks felt hell before 2020.

I know a lot of people are encouraged by this, but I grew up in a Blue state and it’s the first place I experienced racism. It’s the first place I saw a confederate flag. Until you decolonize, a blue state isn’t a guarantee of safety.

I question the premise of this question. We all know what marriage is, so why do we think it needs any PR at all? If anything is in need of good PR, it’s autonomy. It’s letting people make the best decisions for them. Marriage is paperwork. Love is what you decide it is.

Because it is a support need for disabled people. As in, they are “not able” to cook for themselves. As in, they are “not able” to get food on their own. If you’re not going to help disabled people cook or try to understand, you could just leave them alone.

The 1.2 trillion dollar bill passed by Congress and signed by Joe Biden last year also increased the ICE budget, which is exactly why so many people said both parties are the same. The Dems want to expand ICE too, and we need to be honest about that.
