@Discworld_com This book is absolutely worth reading, but keep a box of tissues handy. The first time I read it was right after it was published and I bawled like a baby when I got to the part where... well, you know. Or you'll know soon, I hope. Reading this really did feel like goodbye.

Today marks the 10th anniversary of Terry Pratchett's final masterpiece, 'The Shepherd's Crown.' To honour this milestone, we're sharing these poignant reflections from Rob Wilkins. "" It’s been ten years since the publication of The Shepherd’s Crown, the last book Terry Pratchett completed before he died. Once the spine on this one was cracked, there were no more new Pratchetts to look forward to, and I know a lot of Discworld readers who were, understandably, with that sad reality in mind, reluctant to finish - or even start - this one because it felt like the final closing of a door. But I also know that Terry wanted his books to be read and enjoyed far more than he wanted them kept on a shelf. And as time passes it becomes ever more apparent how much the Discworld books reward re-visiting, perpetually revealing something new, literary gems Terry had hidden away for a second or third, or even more, re-read. Every Pratchett is to some degree an unread Pratchett, including the ones you’ve already enjoyed and including The Shepherd’s Crown. So the greatest way to honour Terry’s legacy is to pull that book you’ve been saving off the shelf, make a nice cup of tea and settle down to read the story he wrote for you. Enjoy. AMBER Alert in Kansas City Kansas! On 01-28-2021, at 1:14am, the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department provided the following information to the KBI:

On 01-27-2021, at 11:23pm, the two children were in the 2012 Ford Fusion, Kansas license 232MFP and the vehicle was being operated by their babysitter. They went to the gas station at 3801 Leavenworth Road, Kansas City, KS and the babysitter left the vehicle running to enter.

The suspect is a black male 5'8, 250lbs, entered the running vehicle and left the location. (On camera) Call 911 immediately if you have seen a missing child, suspect, or suspect’s vehicle. If you have other information on a missing child, call the KCKPD 913-596-3000.
