Meet 17 year old Emma Tucker, one of the MCs in #theDOME. I wanted her to look like a headstrong teen who swears she knows it all. But as most teens tend to discover sooner than later, she doesn’t.

@sydthekid1939 Also, people claiming to be professionals and end up editing your book so horribly that it is almost unrecognizable, so you end up out of a down-payment AND have to spend so much time fixing what they did. This happened to me twice. With web designers, too.
English

@sydthekid1939 It's more like people have realized that indie writers are in need of editors, book cover artists, web designers, etc, so people have created whole schemes to make money off us. Getting paid down payments for services and not delivering on the product. This happens sooo often.
English

@sydthekid1939 Lol I would have sent you the names and email addresses of all my past editors so you could berate them. But I'm good now. I can finally confidently say things are coming! 😆
English

@_inthenova Woo!!! I think about that book and the two I was hoping was coming occasionally. I kept forgetting to ask you 🤣
English

@sydthekid1939 Yes! Finally have a great editor after wasting time and money on so many others (someone should write a piece on the predatory way people prey on indie creators). Once I'm done polishing the last 2, I'm dropping them immediately.
English

@sydthekid1939 Me too! This is the most challenging book I've written because I've never written a psychological crime thriller before, but it's also the most fun I've had writing.
I will definitely keep you in mind when it's time to send out ARCs! 🤞🏽🤞🏽

@_inthenova It’s been hell. Every time I go on Facebook everybody is talking about how jobs are so hard to find, even for 20+ year industry veterans. I still want to work in film and tv but I only have three credits really as a PA. Granted I know I’m also the reason I’m not finding work
