if they werent set up completely like an mmo, it would have been fine but they genuinely just dragged on and were exhausting. you leave a cutscene and its 5 more side quests on the map that are long as fuck delivery quests for a drop of story 😭 and the worst part is the best-

Nope we are NOT doing a revisionism with Final Fantasy XVI when it comes to its side quests. Literally the weakest point of the game, and it is universal known for it. Literally every corner you go that was one of the biggest complaints. Yoshida made themquest like if it was FF14
