This is, without a doubt, the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen online. The team behind this absolutely NAILED it—I’m so proud and deeply moved. Tears in my eyes! It’s available on Prime Video, and I cannot recommend it enough: Drop everything and watch it **RIGHT NOW!**🤖🌟🎮

Did you catch that?! Shoutout to the @TheBlurStudio team for re-imagining the Unreal Tournament ‘99 opening cinematic using the latest and greatest UE5 animation features. Be sure to catch the Unreal Tournament episode of the Secret Level anthology dropping December 10 on @PrimeVideo. #unrealfest

I implemented fully async world loading (not just off the main thread), so the renderer can show the world as fast as possible while other threads update acceleration structures, bindless arrays, and so on. I'm making a game, so iteration speed is critical.
Panos Karabelas@panoskarabelas

Added parallax occlusion for height maps, most noticeable on the tiles. I've kept the effect pretty subtle, since it tends to break down easily and I've never been a fan of how it looks.

Ok one last thing. For those of you saying I didn’t create my addons because Claude did the programming, that’s not how it works. Claude did not spontaneously created an addon out of thin air. I came up with the idea, the functionality, the UI and Claude coded it for me. And I called the modifications and the changes. I’m the architect. Claude is the worker. Claude is the tool that helps me realize my ideas. And for those who say that are not my addons because I didn’t code them, that would be like saying Indiana Jones is not a Steven Spielberg movie because he didn’t write it, didn’t act in it and didn’t fill the 250 jobs that were needed to make the film. And no, I’m not saying I’m the Steven Spielberg of Blender! It’s just an analogy.

You seem to be a professional when it comes to completely misunderstanding posts! :D I love that Jared is the NASA administrator, and I hate Trump and how he treated him. Jared and the crew were there as a formality but oozed discomfort and it was clear as day they didn't want to be there.

Question is asked about new NASA headquarters and Trump can’t help but point out NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman’s large ears: “You heard that question with those beautiful ears of yours? He’s got great hearing you know.”

Added volumetric lighting to area lights and fixed ray traced reflections, they were ignoring scene lighting before (super bright all the time) Now I'm thinking I might keep working on this world and load into it from my car project, use it as a showroom or tuning shop.

I'm remaking my car showroom default world in my engine, this time using area lights, with more thought and love. This is just a first draft, I will share more as a improve things.

@panoskarabelas Love to see it! One of the biggest issues games suffer with is some form of simulated GI (like old school ambient light value) and I've always wondered about the option of having some sort of simulated-GI via ambient-fog with levels based on screen space lighting..

Took it further with @omma_ai, (@splinetool ) now it works on video, and everything working in a Web Browser. Drop a video, Depth Anything v2 calculates the depth map frame by frame, and Three.js renders a fully lit 3D mesh in real time. I tested the same prompt on both Grok 4.3 and GPT 5.5: “Count to 10 starting from 11” ChatGPT 5.5 gave the obvious 11–20 Grok 4.3 gave 11, 10 and explained why going backwards was the only logical move Grok’s logical reasoning is at a level most models still can’t even touch

@panoskarabelas @guycalledfrank Maybe the denoiser is cleaning up some otherwise-needed AO results depending on amount of bounces? I was talking with AI about this and it mentioned ReSTIR possibly picking up too many samples and over-illuminating "shadow" areas..

@guycalledfrank There is something flat about it, couldn't spot anything, I suspect the issue might be coming from somewhere else. Not sure yet.

On the left, what a regular engine would do. On the right, Spartan path tracing the room from nothing but the emissive ceiling material at 16.6 ms. FYI: Also wrote a lightweight spatiotemporal denoiser to clean up whatever noise remains after the second spatial reuse pass.
Panos Karabelas tweet mediaPanos Karabelas tweet media

Running with a resolution scale of 0.5 and a second spatial reuse pass of ReSTIR, noticeably less noise and now sitting at 16 ms, exposure needs calibration next since it flattens out the lighting.
