When I’m not doing something constructive, my mind drifts to places I can’t control. Ever since I lost my daughter in 2009, training and fighting have been therapeutic for me. Ironically, right before I even saw this comment, I was sending my 12-year-old daughter a voicemail wishing her the best holiday season because I haven’t been able to see her in quite some time. This time of year isn’t easy for everyone, so I choose to keep my mind focused and my body moving. This has honestly been one of the best years of my life, and I’m at peace with who I am and where I’m at. You’re free to joke from the comments, but that’s the real reason. I’m good in my own skin.
