@TLNewmanMTL Read the article before I saw your tweet, teachers already do lose their jobs if they influence a students political beliefs. What this legislation will do, is ensure that youth won’t have the understanding of government necessary to hold it accountable for its corruption.

It's good to read articles before commenting. And yes, teachers and professors do this all the time. "It will require unbiased teaching devoid of statements on political, social or ideological matters and protect employees from participating in activities that infringe their beliefs while ensuring students can express their views freely."

No, it shouldn’t. Schools don’t (and teachers legally can’t) teach students to favour a political party or ideology, it teaches them that there are many different ideologies and political views. Look at the US, kids don’t learn about facism and now their country has become that
