@emilykmay One time I called poison control because my 2 year old ate a finger scoop of spackle and the lady literally said to me "let me Google to see how toxic that is." A few minutes later she said "this page says she will be fine." And she was fine. 🥴

wildest thing to me about parenting is you can call poison control and be like, "hi, i just found my toddler with a clorox bleach pen in their mouth and it's empty. what do i do?" and poison control is basically like, "do they seem fine?" like i could have called any boomer.

This seems like a good day to dump without anyone noticing how I’m not writing anymore rom coms with berkley and canceled my next book contract because the reception I got from white often female readers was truly awful & ruined me. Maybe I’ll come back to the genre. Who knows

My query feedback and beta feedback are total opposites. I'm leaning heavily toward trusting my audience and self-publishing. The agents seem more trend-based than story-based, while the betas are focusing on the heart of the story. It's a wild position to be. #WritingCommunity
