my draft nerds… is there any real track record of guys grading out as legit bad/net negative defenders turning it around and becoming passable defenders in the league?
and if yes, how context dependent was it

somewhat related but im confident Chet’s a much better passer than his APG suggests. sure the turnovers can be ugly at times but i feel like they’re rarely bad passes and he’s consistently shown he’s capable of making a variety of reads

really promising offensive series from Chet, the arc on his 3 ball looked great (and had a few OTD threes) and he capitalized on the size advantage shooting 73% from 2. defensively had some really high highs in the first two games but kinda got eaten up in the last two by Brooks

@OKChargers that is not what I said, you cannot be in this big of a bubble.
I’m saying both teams are not being officiated the same. okc plays physical and is allowed to consistently, other teams aren’t. If it’s called evenly on both sides no one has an issue but it’s not.

i don’t think the frustration with the thunder is that they draw a lot of fouls (at least, it shouldn’t be). it’s that it feels like their opponent doesn’t ever feel like they’re allowed the same bandwidth to be physical

BITW but his being allowed to do this stuff (I still remember that remember that crazy push off at the end of game 4 on the finals last year) while his defender isn’t allowed to be near him or touch him without being called just makes him impossible to guard
