@SillyviStuff @mini_feebas @bignothingman bc her goal was never to be an idol... she just likes doing crazy projects. more than music, she wants to be known in the mainstream gaming sphere and id say from the regular competition invites, fps spons/cameos, game equipment collabs, she's kind of making it.

@mini_feebas @bignothingman She is a big reason so much of this "just go indie" sentiment exists, and even she isn't as successful specifically at idol/music related activities. She seemed to become more of a regular streamer, not an idol. There ARE concerts, but nowhere near the scale of corp concerts.

This is why I really hate the sentiment of “she’d be better off indie”! As an indie, there ARE NO OPPORTUNITIES!! You have to MAKE them entirely yourself! The indie scene simply does not have the infrastructure set up to accommodate massive outreach and events that hololive has.

@BulhyX618 @zaphkielinlive i think it has to be noted that Doki has her own company and team handling behind the scenes work which is why she gets to process so much collabs and events. she's less indie, more solo corpo (her management can still screw her over, she just has CEO powers now and can fire ppl)

Man, I used to think like this when Gura graduated. But now what we see is basically YAGOO tries his best to treat talents as best as possible. Being indie is not "being free", as big freedom means big responsibility too.

I hope mori is smart enough to know internally since she's smart enough to not say out loud that the opportunities as an indie is better than being chained by hololive because your freedom is now nearly infinite, but i can understand if the accompanying responsibility is too much to bear as a solo team so staving off graduation and staying with holo is just easier

@ChunkyEggy it rlly does!! i got it during their 10th anniv and it was down to 10usd so i split the cost (and product keys) with a friend. v worth tho. the interface itself might be clunky but the brush engines are amazing
