Some exciting news to share with everyone today. I'll be joining @Polymarket to help lead iOS and create some incredible UX to the #1 app. 🎉 For all of those wondering, my choice to leave believe was nothing to do with the company, their direction or any member involved. Still excited to see what they do and will be watching closely. Excited for the next chapter and to build something incredible. You can be sure to see some more nice UX showcases posted here.

SplitPaneKit This is something I've wanted to componentize for a while. We've seen this pattern appear in a few apps now, I even use it at Abode. It has a couple "gotcha" moments with performance and optimisation while animating separate or child views with the drag and translation of the split views, handling breakpoints etc, I thought I'd put it into a nice package. I actually made quite a few optimisations from how I handle this with Abode in this package. So might need to implement it over there😅 As before, right now its UIKit only, but SwiftUI host will likely come over the next few days as I make improvements and final changes to the initial API from feedback. - Draggable split-pane interface - Custom breakpoints or built-in presets - Scroll view integration - drag from content or handle - Coordinated animations with pan-effecting views - UIKit

A bit of personal news! I have been a founder for coming up to 3 years now. I started with a very simple idea. How can social be better? Throughout the years working on this problem, I built multiple apps and versions of apps that ultimately failed. Resulting in where we landed with Abode. The dream of @getabode and creating this hyper personal social, structured around close friends and meaningful relationships was (and still is) something that is very important to me. I wanted to take a different approach to what has been seen and done so many times already with social and try and create a space that is totally unique to you. Not just from appearance but also in functionality. I can't say how incredible the response from the launch of Abode has been and how much positive feedback we have received. Unfortunately, timing was tight and it wasn't quite enough to get us to where we needed to see it continue in the current state its in. There are a lot of characteristics that come to play with launching in consumer social, it's an incredibly tough space to build in, launch in, raise in. And for what me and the team achieved I am incredibly proud. I hope that this is used to inspire products in the future, and prove the need behind hyper personal social products. For the time being I'll be pausing work on Abode, it will still be on the App Store, it will still be up and running. We're not shutting it down. But for the time being I'll be putting my focus elsewhere while I think through the challenges we faced and how we can come back stronger to make a bigger dent in the space. Although this is a pause with my battle on consumer social it is definitely not the end. The learnings and journeys I have been through throughout this period have been incredibly insightful, tough, but insightful. I am very confident that when I am ready, I'll be able to pull off the incredible in this space, so stay tuned for that! As for what I am doing next and where my focuses will sit for a bit? I wanted to take a break from the consumer social space for now, come back at it with fresh eyes and perspective. Stay tuned to hear more. I'm genuinely excited about where the next path will take me, how I can help and ultimately how I will change things for creators. There is a lot of work ahead of me, but some exciting things soon.

I have tried out so many browsers at this point, Arc, Comet, Dia, Atlas I am sure there will be many more which do a similar thing. I always just go back to Safari.

I've been silently cooking on @believeapp for a while, without an update. So here's whats changed. - 🎨New onboarding experience when creating an account. Adds explanation behind beliefs. - 🏦 Token Mayors! The top holder of a Belief created by the official Believe account automatically becomes the token Mayor. They get access to update the icon, description and more! - ⚙️ Bunch of small fixes and changes to update older parts of the app with fresh versions. And now the latest update: 💬 Token Chat! - The top 100 holders of any token will now have access to type and send messages in the chat. - Anyone can read the chat live. - Anyone can react to messages. - Token Mayors have moderator access. This is just the very initial version of the chat feature. There will be more features coming to chat very soon, some of them being: - Pinning messages (moderators) - Mentions - Live presence Along with the above we have a lot of new things coming to the app to improve overall experience.
