@Spencer4ever12 They subtract what was already withheld from your paycheques (shown on your T4) or other payments you've made. Refund → If too much was withheld (common for many salaried workers). Balance owing → If not enough was withheld → you owe the difference interest/penalties if late.

CRA don assess my 2025 tax return, and there is a reduction of about $700 in my refunds, stating in NOA that, my total payable has changed by this same amount because of a calculation error. I don't even understand weytin this error be.
