@Kawhidagoat1 We gotta upgrade both the 2 and 4 spots and I like both their fits with the team and would be happy with either tbh. You think Kawhi would wanna leave Cali tho? A lot of people don’t think so

@_kingalo1 @CadesAttorney Literally no comparison. Kawhi is the farrrrrrrrrrrre superior player and fit and his stats don’t drop off like Kyrie in the playoffs. Not to mention Kyrie is more injury prone and coming off a torn acl

@PistonsThoughts For sure. Ayo is a free agent but idk if I see him as a starter on a championship caliber team tbh but he would be better defensively than Herro. Maybe someone like Cason Wallace becomes available, who knows?

@_kingalo1 Definitely exponentially more scoring/shooting with that group. I just worry about defense a bit

@PistonsThoughts I’d even be open to someone like Herro who shouldn’t cost much. Cade, Herro, Ausar, Trey, Duren maybe?

@PistonsThoughts I don’t mind Rui off the bench if Tobias leaves, I also don’t mind Trey if the asking price is reasonable, I do expect Ausar to have more ball handling responsibility next season, but we gotta upgrade that 2 spot still imo

Does this do anything for anyone Cade Cunningham Ausar Thompson Trey Murphy III Rui Hachimura Jalen Duren (I’m not paying the absurd asking price for TM3 floating around btw)

I've mentioned my concerns with his conditioning and instant impact, but I'd love this pick for San Antonio. Few reasons why: - 13.9 ORB% - 2.5 A/TOV - 4.9 STL / 5.0 BLK% - 40.7 3P% on a 33% 3PAR (44.6 on far 2s & 75 FT% are fine positional shooting indicators too) - 40.6 FTR

Allen Graves is more than just an analytics darling. His size, shooting, defensive playmaking, rebounding, and connective passing make him an enticing option for any team looking for a Power Forward in this years NBA Draft.

@PistonsThoughts I’m not going to predict any big moves, but a free agent signing that people would prob clown that would be very underrated is Collin Gillespie. Could be insurance incase Daniss doesn’t workout and just more ball handling/shooting off the bench

Ok we're officially in offseason mode. What is your perfect Pistons starting lineup going into next season and tell me how you got those pieces? My guess is we aim to upgrade the 2 & 4. I fully expect Cade/Ausar/Duren to be the 3 that aren't moving, so build around them

@PistonsThoughts Stew is the odd man out imo. Hes a great rim protector but doesn’t rebound well. Bball provides more on the boards plus stews salary is easier to use in a trade too imo

I would love to keep all 3. All 3 are perfect Detroit Pistons. But if you can move one of them for a perimeter upgrade it feels like a no brainer path to taking the next step as a team

The Detroit Pistons are “likely” to be in the mix for Kawhi Leonard if he becomes available this offseason 👀 Per @omarisankofa

considering their roster – a good one, but certainly not a 60-win group on paper – and that their three best players are still only 24, 23, and 22, it's safe to say the Pistons overachieved in the regular season. and that's exactly what you want! but it set a high bar, so their overall showing in the Playoffs felt underwhelming, and Sunday's G7 blowout loss was a major disappointment, even though most would agree the Cavs were the far more talented team. but if you zoom out and look at the big picture, this Pistons season – top seed in the East and one win away from the Conference Finals – was absolutely a success. they weren't supposed to be this good this soon, and while we can all agree they're missing a piece or two – namely another reliable scorer – they've got something special in the 313.

@PistonsThoughts Tbf Ausar improved a lot from the line post January, Ron ended the season on a real high note from deep (like 40% his last 15 or so games) Ausar made more 3s in game 7 than Tobias and Cade too lmao But I’m with you, I want next season to be used as offensive development for them

Fred Vinson needs to earn his shooting coach guru status this summer with Ausar Thompson and Ron Holland It's seemingly impossible to rebuild a jump shot in one summer, but this will be summer number 3 for that trio and next season is when we need/expect to see results

@CadesAttorney Yeah before the season my expectation was to win a series and we made it to game 7 of round 2. Big summer for Trajan now tho

@PistonsThoughts Agreed. That’s why I don’t think a guy like Trey Murphy really fixes anything. He’d be an upgrade fs but doesn’t fix the real problem

The thing is, the Pistons don’t need another superstar/all star. Of course that’d be great, but that’s not what they NEED It’s just so clear they need multiple other high level ball handler/shot creators to take pressure off Cade Because an off night for Cade = this offensively

@levyyyy2 @shinjukuface True his contract would prob nuke our cap situation assuming Duren also gets his extension (I think Ausar getting extended is a given) He’s the most intriguing player here to me out of the 4 tho
