Left-wing (Leftists): Think of a classroom where some kids have lots of crayons and some have none. Leftists say “Let’s share the crayons so everyone can draw!” They want the government to help make sure nobody goes without, like a teacher making sure every kid gets lunch, a turn on the swing and a doctor when they’re sick. Right-wing (Conservatives): They say “If you worked hard to earn your crayons, you should get to keep them!” They want people and families to take care of themselves, with less of the teacher (government) telling everyone what to do. They believe that when people are free to do their own thing, everyone ends up better off. The simple version: Left = “Let’s make sure it’s fair for everyone, even if the teacher has to step in.” Right = “Let people figure it out themselves, less teacher, more freedom.” This is better.
