Went to see a school that have implemented OPAL playtimes today, and I am absolutely buzzing with ideas of how good our playtime can be. It's a project I'm really excited to lead on too, as it's quite different from anything I've led on/implemented before.

Coming to the end of ECT1 and genuinely questioning myself. If I knew what ECT was like, I'm not sure I would have done my 4 years at uni and 2 GCSE's alongside. 🥹 @MrTs_NQTs does it get easier? Better?

@MissAHadley @_learnwithmissm The more outdoor learning the better in my view! Shame that it's often difficult to facilitate with curriculum/space/time demands.

A thread on teacher wellbeing. 40,000 teachers resigned from state schools in 2021-2022. That is 9% of the teaching workforce. If we lost 9% of our dentists or 9% of our refuse disposal workers, there would be a public outcry. 1/n

Just wondering.. are there any other jobs where you are forced to take holiday at specific times? Would teachers welcome authorised term-time leave (eg. 10 days?) Would this help retention? 🤔 thoughts welcome! #teacherlife #teacher5aday

@MissLee_Primary @poppygibsonuk Fantastic thoughts. We are trained to teach all subjects and even skills like CPR, so why is there so little coverage of MH?
