@IanAeillo @HarperSeven I think it’s largely one (of many) symbol(s) of an era that had technology and access to media without the instant availability that has created a dependence on tech but also expectation of instant access.

@HarperSeven As someone who worked at blockbuster in high school, I agree. Nobody liked being there. They hated the late fees and took it out on employees. They hated the idea of movies being out of stock. They hated the idea of asking someone for a movie rec and then hating it. Awful place.

I will say this literally every time it comes up: people don’t miss renting videos, they miss being 25 years younger than they are right now.
