🔴 BREAKING: The Apple Tax is dead 🔴 A federal court just ruled Apple must allow apps to link to external checkouts with no restrictions and no 30% cut. Huge for crypto: apps can now sell NFTs, tokens, and digital assets directly and keep 100% of revenue.

@cmiley14 More things that you love to see 🙌💚
Hope you are well 🙏💚

This Christmas, a YC founder friend gifted me 2 boxes of Soylent.
His note: “Remember when you drank 100 Soylents during YC?”
Many people think that after a founder raises millions, it makes them a millionaire.
The reality is, during YC:
- My co-founder and I worked 110-120 hours a week
- My daily routine was waking up and walking 5 feet from my bed to my desk
- I drank Soylents during back-to-back customer calls because I didn’t have time to cook or microwave meals, and they were cheaper than take out
When we started VectorShift, a no-code platform that allows anyone to build AI workflows, we decided that all our spend needed to go into helping our customers.
None of the money we raised goes toward things that don’t matter.

@safwaankay @AnthropicAI Go hard on BD & creative/strategic partnerships with established brands.
Younger demographic?
Throw in a NPC in Fortnite where they can interface with the anthropic in game.
Turn asking it questions into a tik tok challenge

Scenario: You've just been hired as Head of Growth at @AnthropicAI
Your only goal: get Claude's DAU above ChatGPT's
How do you do it?

Agreed. I think the best way to bridge the "immersion gap" will be with a stair step approach.
First, we have to get people more comfortable building out their visions and seeing what is possible with AI by their side.
That will give the hardware time to catch up.
Hopefully it all happens in pace with AI advancements.

@TaschaLabs I'm building a code agent rn and I definitely see a future where we will be able to augment our lives/reality "on demand".
My original guess is that this would happen via VR but brain computer interfaces make sense too.
Do you think the market is ready for this?

@MartinGTobias I might just start sending the link to the chat with this prompt instead of a deck lol
English

VCs are using AI to dig deep into your company. You should do this before they do.
Here is a prompt I often use:
Generate data-driven reports and visualizations to communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders. I need a market analysis for the MARKET SEGMENT. Have a look at the deck for a company StartUpX I am uploading. I want you to research competitors and write me a market map and competitive matrix for this company with threats and opportunities.

@cmiley14 but he has a sick car! and he wears internet clothes and goes to thailand a lot!!

A VC reached out to me yesterday in the DM and said he’s interested in investing.
He requested a deck at the same time before I even replied.
May be controversial but I no longer do decks first and I won’t ever again.
Anyone interested in Planet-X should just play the game I spent 4 years building and then talk to me for as long as they need.
If an investor can’t see the vision with the product in their hands, they aren’t the right partner for me.
Product > deck
Execution > talking about executing

@MartinGTobias 100% agree. The masses should't have to touch traditional "dev tools".

We need to build the ability for people to create small business and to create real jobs that sustain and build a vibrant economy
Vast expansion of government and nonprofits especially in California is the way to ruin
Steve Hilton@SteveHiltonx
"Between January 2022 and June 2024, employment in US private businesses increased by about 7.32 million jobs. Of these 7.32 million jobs, about 5,400 were jobs created in California businesses—representing about .07 percent of the US figure." @lee_ohanian hoover.org/research/calif…

It will be really interesting when a whole generation of people who exist today on the internet die, but still exist on the internet.
Like in 50 years, most of the people who have Facebook accounts now will be dead.
How often are their profiles visited? Could someone go back and see their great grandparents Facebook profiles, and their friends, etc? What are the consequences of that?.
