@arendellepeach Every team is allocated a selection of a player (pick) that (roughly) goes in order of how well/poorly the team has performed the year before, so if you’ve been very bad you’ll get one of the first picks (aka Montreal and Boston had performed v poorly) through multiple rounds.

@GregBaldwinIroh The toast must be buttered - that’s the only rule. Cheddar (proper mature cheddar) grated on top is a nice bonus, maybe some Worcestershire sauce, black pepper - but these are ‘nice to haves’.

@chasingbodies I got married 20 years ago in a ceremony I didn’t plan (my mum did) because I didn’t care. Only things that mattered to me were being married to each other and seeing friends. I wouldn’t have noticed if there were no chairs lol. (I’m autistic too lol.)

@Daistis @hollanovvs I used to quit any fic that made this mistake because it makes it hard to read! After 30 years of reading fanfic, I’ll still bow out unless the rest of the writing/plot is so good that I can overlook it. But if someone’s making this mistake, it’s probably not good enough.

hey friendly reminder when you're writing dialogue in fics you're meant to end with a comma and not a full stop/period unless an action follows.
so it should look like this
"I love you, Michaela," Francesca said.
and not like this
"I love you, Michaela." Francesca said.

@theoceanblooms @omareo @hollanovvs But this is about a quotation, not speech marks. So if a person is speaking in a novel, the comma never goes outside the speech marks. It does go outside a quotation, though. (Also British)

@omareo @hollanovvs it depends on whether the pause is naturally part of the sentence or not but tbh I’m british and for dialogue in fiction I just do it the US way
