In a week where we’ve seen Arsenals CB’s pull out of national squads to avoid missing Arsenals big run in, our midfielder that we supported during a lengthy ban missed a huge game for us but is fit enough to join up with the national squad… Further proof it’s all one way.
Dominic Scurr@DomScurr

🇮🇹Sandro Tonali back with the Italy national team this week. 🤕The NUFC star is still nursing a minor injury that saw him miss Sunday's derby defeat.

@EastStandMag Even more reason to trust his motivations. You know nothing about his physical state. You disregard the importance of his value in his international team. He’s a human being. I’m not sure you are.

@OfficielKaybaye Burn could have played Willock early, or Livramento later. He chose to go direct to Osula (wasn’t ever on). We try to bypass midfield too often. We lack a good 6. Hall is the only defender comfortable pushing into the middle with the ball. When he does it engages their press.

Another game where the opposition actively choose to be more passive and we go to absolute shit. What’s the resolution?
Jake@Jake_armstrong9

x.com/Burnerrrrr4191… Now as the half went on Sunderland became more and more passive OOP with the aim being to catch us on the counter as our rest defence weakens while we chase a goal. This example goes straight back to Gordon’s quote and where his frustration will be. This a second example I’ve shown in this thread of us failing to find the free man. This is poor from Burn. He had a few extra yards to bring that ball forward or I think that pass into Willock is more than on but instead he goes over the top to Osula in a 2v1 deficit? Same with Elanga he failed to spot the free man and we couldn’t hurt Sunderland defensively. 10/ #NUFC

@MattyTJW It's Willock man. He's a defensive liability. There's a reason his minutes played are so low despite being relatively injury free all season. There's a reason Woltemade is subbing in MF. So Howe knows it but there's no one else.

Look at the fucking space Sadiki has here man, plus the massive gap in midfield that even allows Xhaka to punch that pass into him. We’re genuinely the worst coached side in the league #NUFC

@CraigHope_DM It’s a move to play a defensive forward but if you play a defensive forward and it works, you’re a hero Game by game choices aren’t they?

🗣️ Eddie Howe on Anthony Gordon as striker... "Anthony's legs, his desire to press, makes the team play better. It had a really fluid look to it. We wanted to play with a fluid frontline. We wanted to press aggressively. You need quick & mobile players (to do that)."
Craig Hope@CraigHope_DM

Gordon as striker is, for me, the best option available to Howe right now. Newcastle's best PL away display of late was 35mins at Anfield, with Gordon a pacey presence & nuisance through middle. On recent viewing, Wissa not fit & Woltemade not the right fit, especially away.

@OfficielKaybaye After being kept on for 10 mins with a sprained ankle a few games ago. We’re bare bones. Management is killing the best players to protect the worst.

@halliday_9 We’ve got players in the team that need someone shouting instructions at them all the time and Trippier does that

Don’t get why that Leo Shahar doesn’t get a chance, he can’t be much worse than 2026 trippier?

@bennufc_18 Maybe I’m too old school but if he makes the run and gets to that position, I want him eager to take on the keeper not looking to pass. Easy in hindsight to say he should’ve passed but what an impact and lift for his confidence if he scores.

@NUFC7890 Odd. Schar has shown enough mistakes in his time on pitch since injury that make me think this is a good natural switch to back up for him.

@Han_Akamatsu Assume this is an LLM analysis. It's incredibly flawed. Look at US region performance vs. Canada/Europe (i.e. stores sold off earlier this year). Explains all Revenue changes. US Operations growing and overall $gme balance sheet looking very strong.
