A Pizza Hut franchisee is suing the company over forced AI integration, claiming that Pizza Hut's "Dragontail" AI system cost them $100 million. The AI delivery management system reportedly pushed the delivery time from under 30 minutes in most cases to over 45 much of the time. Amazing concept that gets caught up in sensationalizing half truths to go viral and play off people’s very rational fears and distrust of consumer goods.
HOW MANY BRANDS ARE YOU GOING TO RECKLESSLY SMEAR BEFORE IT FINALLY CATCHES UP TO YOU?
People spend years building these companies, risking everything. Then some guy comes along while fucking around in villas in Bali — I mean “coding with the team” — misrepresents findings he barely understands, posts it as fact, and moves on to kill the next brand like nothing happened.
At some point it stops being “consumer advocacy” and becomes reckless defamation for engagement.
You can pretend to be the authority on every product category on earth without ever actually doing the work yourself, but eventually reality catches up. Oasis App is Icarus flying too close to the sun.
The inevitable outcome of repeatedly tarnishing brands with misleading claims is eventually running into a lawsuit too big to overcome.

Original post is now deleted after 3.5MM views and driving the app to #10 in the App Store. I have dear friends, new moms, calling me in tears thinking they poisoned their newborn because they were trying to hit their protein goals. @oasishealthapp @cormachayden_ at this stage in the game, you don’t get to just call “my bad” and hope this goes away. You can start by running apology posts to every misrepresented brand. Driving at least the same number of impressions as your rage-bait have gotten. But that’s just a start.
