2024 was a blessing. 2025 exceeded it. I’m walking into 2026 grateful, grounded and expectant - trusting God with the process and the promise. The best is still unfolding! ❤️ #HappyNewYear2026

If you want to become a millionaire in just one year, rush to the nearest bank on Tuesday after the Easter Holiday and take a loan. You are not doing this for consumption but for an income-generating asset. This is how people move fast. Take that loan and buy a clean 14-seater like a Toyota Hiace. Put it where the money is. Ilete kwa hii Bungoma to Nairobi route. This route is always active. Day and night people are always moving.. Now let’s break everything down step by step so you understand clearly. First, the setup: Cost of matatu: Ksh 1,600,000 Loan finances the full amount. Tuseme Monthly repayment is Ksh 60,000. Let's go to how you will operate. You don’t operate casually. You maximize the vehicle. Daily plan: Morning: Bungoma → Nairobi Evening/Night: Nairobi → Bungoma That is 2 full trips per day Now income per trip: Passengers: 14 Fare per passenger: Ksh 1,500 So: 14 × 1,500 = Ksh 21,000 per trip Two trips per day: Ksh 21,000 × 2 = Ksh 42,000 per day Now monthly income: Assume 26 working days: Ksh 42,000 × 26 = Ksh 1,092,000 per month (total revenue) Now subtract expenses step by step. Fuel: Approx Ksh 12,000 per day Monthly: 12,000 × 26 = Ksh 312,000 Crew (driver + conductor): Ksh 3,000 per day Monthly: 3,000 × 26 = Ksh 78,000 Maintenance & other costs: Monthly estimate: Ksh 40,000 Now total expenses: 312,000 (fuel) 78,000 (crew) 40,000 (maintenance) = Ksh 430,000 Now subtract from revenue: 1,092,000 – 430,000 = Ksh 662,000 Now remove loan repayment: 662,000 – 60,000 = Ksh 602,000 net profit per month Now let’s make it even clearer. Monthly profit: Ksh 602,000 After 2 months: 602,000 × 2 = Ksh 1,204,000 You have already crossed one million. After 12 months: 602,000 × 12 = Ksh 7,224,000 From one matatu. Ukimaliza kulipa loan in about 2–3 years: You remove Ksh 60,000 repayment. New monthly profit: 602,000 + 60,000 = Ksh 662,000 per month At this point, the matatu is fully yours na pesa inakuja kukuja. This is how people scale: Year 1: Buy 1 matatu Year 2: Add a second using profits Year 3: Build a small fleet The secret is not just buying. Make sure you manage them well. Ensure full capacity trips ju demand iko high. Stick to a busy route like Bungoma–Nairobi Use disciplined crew Track daily income Maintain the vehicle properly If you get this right, one matatu is enough to completely change your financial direction. Stop looking for complicated businesses. Sometimes the simplest models executed with discipline and consistency are the ones that create real wealth. Hii ni Siri nimewapea...

In Dholuo, we love saying “Ngima ema duong.” It means that the gift of life is greater than anything else. It implies that as long as there’s life, we can do anything. That as long as you’re alive, there’s room to try again. And again. Thinking about it always makes me smile.

A decision made in the 70s in a golf club in New York caused this. See some executives wanted to dump some radioactive waste. This waste doesn't decompose like your traditional compost. It has a half life that keeps changing and is highly carcinogenic The execs approach various people and finally end up approaching a Kenyan politician who agreed to a 50k USD bribe. In return they were to send the waste into Chalbi desert. The bribe was so little that the execs didn't even go for a board meeting to approve it. They agreed to pay right there over a round of golf. Back in Kenya the politicians didn't inform the citizenry of what was to happen. The residents of the are just saw heavily protected guys dumping some stuff in the ground covered in tarp. In North Eastern Kenya, houses are mostly makeshift since they're pastoralists. They see this tarp as a good cover to their manyattas and they start digging up the waste and taking the protective paper. This had near instant repercussions. People started to fall Ill and soon that waste found its way downstream to Meru. If you look at the prevalence rate of cancer along that waterway you'll understand that politician's don't care about their own people
IVY@ivymuthe

Someone said For the last 3 months Out of 100 funerals in Meru he has attended 80 were caused by cancer. What is happening in Meru?

In 2007-8 Raila asked Kibaki for the Finance Ministry, Kibaki refused and responded that the President is in principle the minister for Finance and so in essence you are asking for my job? Raila went ahead and gave the Assistant ministry position to his brother Dr. Oburu. He also gave his trusted soldier Oparanya the ministry of planning. My point is that, Raila entrusted at a critical time in history, key positions to those he trusted the most. So when Uhuru stole 9.2B in the 2008/09 financial budget and blamed it on computer error, we know who he ate it with. Tunataka pawa is not new in these streets.

Did you know? In 1966, 32 boys were rescued from forced labour in Tanzania and brought to Starehe Boys' Centre after working in harsh conditions near Mt Kilimanjaro. Nearly 600 Kenyan boys were said to be held across Tanzania before officials intervened.
