Some items that don't exist outside of human mind: free, God, just, human rights, left & right. There's no blue color, no sweet flavor, no free will. There's 🍻

@yodumbasslilbih @lporiginalg I didn’t see blacks & whites there until I read your comment
can you see the incident from a non-racist angle? imagine all are blacks, or whites (or hispanics or robots .. or whatevs, just remove race diff from the situation)
was the referee’s intervention just? in your opinion
English

@lporiginalg Yes, the same criminal system that falsely imprisoned thousands upon thousands of Black men and women on the grounds of listening to a lying pos white peasant.
English

@tracybeanz Was the easement known about when the land & house were purchased?

@war_intell @WallStreetApes > what we know 2: conspiraton is archetypal human behavior mode (along with competition, cooperation, reciprocation)

@war_intell @WallStreetApes Ticks are surging in Ohio , but that's climate and ecology
> you don’t know
not a Gates-funded conspiracy
> you don’t know
Lyme cases are up, but no evidence of manufactured outbreaks
> absence of evidence is not evidence of absence
> what we know: incentives drive behavior
English

Woman who been raises horses for 30 years in Ohio says “I've never had to deal with these many ticks”
“I can't take the tick situation anymore. The tick situation in this state, there are ticks everywhere”
Almost everyone says this is due to Bill Gates. The reason why is because The Gates Foundation is funding Tick Research
The Gates Foundation funded a biotech firm called Oxitec for research on genetically modifying cattle ticks
Farmers claim to be funding “boxes of ticks”on their properties
People think because Bill Gates is funding tick research there is a high likelihood we would see a huge increase in ticks. This would mean Gates could sell more of his products to deal with the problem
There is a well documented tick surge hitting Ohio hard right now, spring 2026, especially for livestock owners
Ohio has new tick species. Ohio went from basically 1 medically important tick species 20 years ago to having 5 now. Some of these populations grow very fast
Lyme disease surge: Cases skyrocketed from ~40 in 2010 → 415 in 2020 → over 2,800 in 2025, with 2026 already trending high
Keep in mind a Lyme disease vaccine is actively in the works
So without the ticks, they can’t sell their vaccines
You’ll never guess who’s making it, Pfizer and Valneva

@twumblunni @bluewmist To me, the metaphor says
mind is both a wholesome calm (pond) and a frenetic chaos (fish in the pond),
if one must associate oneself with the states of their mind, its wise to train oneself to zoom out (especially during a feeding frenzy 😂), and be the pond
English

@_manybuds @bluewmist I do understand that you're supposed to impliment metaphors.
I don't understand what this metaphor means.
I'm asking what this metaphor means.
You just keep giving me more metaphors like "ah you should be the calm unmoving water not the bustling fish!"
English
![manybuds [bring out the fruits]](https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/970469396937302016/4vIHUERf.jpg)
@twumblunni @bluewmist I simply agreed, other people chiming in (in their, different ways of talking about it) will help, just as you said above
English

@_manybuds @bluewmist "different ways are the way" like what the fuck dude
how does that help me
what do you mean responding "exactly" at what's clearly me not understanding a single thing you said? The problem ain't solved!
English
![manybuds [bring out the fruits]](https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/970469396937302016/4vIHUERf.jpg)
@twumblunni @bluewmist I wanted to mention it doesn’t seem to work for you like that, but it didn’t fit
You sounded like you didn’t get the metaphor, but maybe you don’t get how you are supposed to implement what the metaphor says?
(If so, I don’t know; I’m not a guru offering a path to light)
English

@_manybuds @bluewmist In the event that you actually are genuinely trying to help: this doesn't help. It doesn't help at all to just say "well most people just GET metaphors instantly". Evidently I ain't most people.
English
![manybuds [bring out the fruits]](https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/970469396937302016/4vIHUERf.jpg)
@twumblunni @bluewmist That’s why I wrote “prefer, seek, cultivate”
(exactly because mind is not even, undisturbed, .. bc emotions, thoughts .. do swim thru it .. )
because mind is both the pond and the fish
The metaphor doesn’t say how to be the pond rather than the fish (if that’s what you’d want)
English

@_manybuds @bluewmist But how does this make any sense at all? Your mind is never gonna be "even, undisturbed" because the fish (emotions) are ALWAYS swimming through it. This has truly just confused me more. like is it saying "just don't think about your emotions at all, just block them out?"
English
![manybuds [bring out the fruits]](https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/970469396937302016/4vIHUERf.jpg)
@twumblunni @bluewmist exactly, different ways .. are the way :)
English

@_manybuds @bluewmist I feel really guilty that I'm not understanding anything that you're saying. I appreciate that you tried, but I really think we just have polar opposite communication styles and I'm not going to understand this way. It might be best to just wait and see if someone else can help.

@ArynGabaiDC @aakashgupta Not that it matters, but if you read your & my posts above you’ll see you are calling the one you respond to names, I am not
I am calling chiropractics / adjustments what it is - a scam
Incidentally, as opposed to you trained physicians read proficiently
Are you an imposter?
English

@_manybuds @aakashgupta Dude does zero research and spouts assertions. Really classy calling a trained physician names when this is your methodology.
English

Caitlin Jensen, 28, walked into a Georgia chiropractor in June 2022. She came out with four dissected arteries, a stroke, cardiac arrest, and a traumatic brain injury. It took her nine months to say "Mom" again.
She had come in for lower back pain.
Your brain runs on four arteries. Two carotids in front, two vertebrals in back. The vertebrals don't run free. They thread up through narrow bone tunnels inside each cervical vertebra, C6 to C1, then loop around the top vertebra in a tight horizontal curve called the V3 segment.
When a chiropractor performs a high-velocity rotational thrust on the upper neck, V3 gets stretched and snapped against bone. The inner artery wall tears. Blood seeps between the layers. A flap forms. Flow blocks, or clots break off and travel to the brainstem.
In Caitlin's case all four vessels tore. Paramedics worked 12 minutes restoring her pulse. Surgeons placed a stent in one artery and repaired what they could in the rest. The brain injury came from the bleed that followed the stroke that followed the dissection.
One in 20,000 spinal manipulations triggers this. Arterial dissection causes 2% of strokes overall but 8 to 25% of strokes in patients under 45. In 55% of cases symptoms start within 12 hours of the adjustment. No screening test identifies who's at risk beforehand.
The American Chiropractic Association's own spokesman told the New York Times patients should get vascular scans before neck manipulation. Almost none do. Informed consent matching a surgical risk disclosure isn't standard. The average victim is 40.
Caitlin's back pain lived four vertebrae below the artery the thrust tore.

@twumblunni @bluewmist Whomever came up w the metaphor suggests that
even, undisturbed, wholesome (the pond)
is preferred over
chaotic, jerky, fragmented (the fish)
way of being
The metaphor says your mind is both the pond & the fish in the pond and to prefer, seek, cultivate the pond side of it
English

@_manybuds @bluewmist Yeah ok I really don't understand what you mean, sorry. It seems that you just have a very poetic way of typing. And that's cool! But it's not really easy to explain a metaphor to someone who's not as smart as you by just saying new metaphors. Thanks for trying, though!

@iharismansoor @theobjectivist Do you consider Musk’s gesture to be the Nazi salute?
If yes then Mamdani's gesture is Nazi salute
English

@theobjectivist Just for clarification, do you consider Mamdani's gesture to be the Nazi salute? If yes then Musk's gesture was also Nazi salute right?
English

Same move. Same hand on the heart, same wave to the crowd. Musk did it and gets called a Nazi to this day. Mamdani does it and those same people have not said a word.
Well, not exactly. Once the side by side clips went viral, some of them did speak up. Not to apologize to Musk. To defend Mamdani.
Suddenly the gesture is not the gesture. Suddenly we need to talk about arm speed. Whether the fingers wiggled at the end. Whether he was smiling. Whether his grandparents were in the right party. A year ago none of that mattered. The hand went up, the verdict came down. Now we get a forensic seminar on millimeters and microseconds to prove Mamdani's arm moved slower.
Mamdani's own press office said "in no way was this a Nazi salute." Funny. Musk said the same thing. His did not count. Mamdani's did, instantly.
That tells you everything. The "Nazi salute" thing was never about the gesture. If it were, they would be screaming right now. They are not. It was about Musk. They hate him because he is the richest man in the world and he was attacking their ideological piggy bank with DOGE, so they smeared him.
Mamdani is on their team, so he gets a pass, plus a defense team running stopwatch analysis. Same hand, opposite verdict.
A wave is a wave. The rule does not change based on who is waving. When it does, you are not watching principle. You are watching a hit job.

Remember how they lost their sh*t when @elonmusk did this?

@ArynGabaiDC @aakashgupta Adjusting spine is a bullshit "treatment" 99% of the time (my guesstimate)
Chiropractics is a snake oil that is materially harmful in 2 ways:
- causing injury (see above)
- discouraging/stopping patients from getting help / healing properly (instead of unending "tuneups")
English
![manybuds [bring out the fruits]](https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/970469396937302016/4vIHUERf.jpg)
@aakashgupta "Caitlin's back pain lived four vertebrae below the artery the thrust tore." places it at ~C4 (or ~T4 if "counted" from the origin of the artery rather than the tear site); either way very unlikely
That said, chiropractics is not an innocuous quackery, and often a perpetual cost

@twumblunni @bluewmist diff ppl will take diff msg (& describe it differently)
one of the msgs, the one I take (& describe) on this Monday is:
fishes come & go, each one sometimes in bliss, sometimes in pain; the pond is home for the whole show; destiny & life of this or that fish doesn't affect it
English

@_manybuds @bluewmist Yeah sorry this makes it all infinitely more confusing. Like all I'm getting from you is "you're meant to say your mind is the pond" and that's not the part I'm finding confusing.
The confusing part is "but what does it mean that your mind is the pond, how does that help?"
English

@twumblunni @bluewmist *The allegory tells you to see yourself as the _____, where all of the manifold fish live & die, rather than any one of the single fish passing by at any given time
(in rhyme :)

@twumblunni @bluewmist If you experience thoughts, moods, feelings, urges, .. going, meandering, zipping thru your mind, then those are the fish & your mind is _____
The allegory tells you to see yourself as the _____, where all of the manifold fish live & die, rather than any one of the passing fish
