How do they want businesses to function. There is little to no light, people are hardly being able to commute to work? Salaries are definitely not going to increase because companies are running on losses already. More will be demanded from employees. It’s just an unending cycle really. SMH

An oil-producing country where citizens buy fuel at ₦1400 is not a mystery; it’s the outcome of years of bad decisions, weak institutions, and zero long-term thinking.
We waited decades for refineries to work. They didn’t.
Now one project Dangote Refinery is expected to fix everything overnight. It won’t.
Fuel is priced in dollars, yet the Nigerian Naira keeps weakening.
Subsidy was removed without real protection for the average person.
Policies change constantly. There is no stability.

When you japa, ur first 5 years is for you to be stable. So no think say immediately you travel you don make am and then carry stupid family burden for head. Support you family but don’t overdo it. As abroad get plenty amenities, na bills full am so have the mindset that your first 5 years is for you to become stable. Then after 5 years you can now start your plans of actually helping your family

Relocating should have a valid reason! Why are you relocating. If you want to have money, soft life, build your life in Nigeria, change your jobs and earn well because Nigeria gives you the opportunity. Get a good house, run mortgage when you have a good salary. Go to hangouts and owambe’s. It’s good to have that. You will see your friends, you will make new friends. You can buy gen, do solar. Don’t just japa because everybody dey japa o. Else u go japa finish and na only you. No friends, even the one wey u don make. 2 years you no go see them as everyone is basically busy. And don’t say leaving home to feed home is the reason except you are married and actually leaving home to feed home.

Everyone’s eye is on making money and so relationship is not a big thing for people. So possibility dey that you end up single. (Being single is not bad at all o. But if marriage is your goal one day, know that japa also reduce chances except God says otherwise). Then if you find a partner, you both might most likely contribute either 50-50 or 100/100 depending on how you see family values. Some men that earn well my do a 70/30 but I ain’t gonna lie lots of families I see do 50/50. Godly ones do 100/100.

See when I was in Nigeria, I was working in a top firm, earning shit load of cash. I had a 2 bedroom duplex all to myself, if light no dey, I don fire gen till morning. So everywhere dey always bubble for my side. But I come reason am say If I want to have a family. Then Naija no be for me. I don’t want my child wanting to struggle to enter football academy or struggling to get opportunities to become whatever they want to be due to how Naija structure has run the culture to be survival of the fittest. So na to push myself, carry all my savings and next flight outta Naija
