I'll be blunt, my consent got violated by a stranger at LVFC and it ruined most of the con for me. I am okay but it really sucked I'm still processing things, but bc this was the official con debut for Viridian, it's kinda made me feel less connected to her :(

@fairyradia A report by you can be the difference between that person being banned for just one event, and being banned from the con for life.
.. cause if there's one thing I've learned.. sexual predators don't just stop with one victim. They learn what works and keep doing what works.

@fairyradia Doing that at least established a paper trail, and even if they can't do anything actionable against the person for what happened to you, it can provide staff with an awareness that that person is a risk to others. <cont>

I watched someone make a post about the US Govt sending ICE agents to airports, and he posted the most obvious safety things you can do to protect yourself.

I don't know if Scratch was created by Gooseworx as a nod to the furry Fandom, or was just created "as a dog character", but personally I am very grateful that we are seeing the inclusion of these characters more and more in mainstream media.
I just don't want to lose that.

One thing that really bothers me about the Furry Fandom has always been the "duality of respect"
It seems a majority of furries want ppl to respect their chars/fursonas, but they seldom will respect others - especially if they are famous/popular.

@LostTelly Sometimes it takes a bit to get the ball rolling. And yet, you can't let something go without providing an adequate response and do so quickly.
It seems like they were having an issue getting ahold of the 'reseller', but once they did, they got it taken care of and resolved.

I am disappointed that TFF is allowing AI products in their vendor hall
Foxen Coffee uses generative AI for their products and have stated that they do not consider themselves to be a furry business
TFF should not allow a vendor that openly prioritizes AI & mocks artists
