Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's first post on X was not made in isolation, it was part of a broader understanding reached among all parties. In high-stakes negotiations like these, every move is carefully choreographed. In this case, once a ceasefire framework was agreed upon, the real question was how to operationalize it. It was decided that Pakistan’s prime minister would take the lead by issuing a public statement calling for a ceasefire. This would then be followed by reciprocal responses from both sides, formally accepting the proposal. That is how the process unfolded, step by step, as planned. And those mocking the so-called “draft” issue either don’t understand how diplomacy works or are doing so deliberately.
