IPL isn’t cricket anymore. Tiny grounds, flat tracks, Tim David smashing sixes like it’s his backyard. This isn’t cricket anymore. It’s a six-hitting competition with flat pitches and zero respect for bowlers. #RCBVCSK

Dear CA Parveen Sir,@caparveensharma I am deeply grateful for your support regarding my recent post about the WOFA event. Your decision to speak out against the disciplinary action and in favor of equality within ICAI is incredibly encouraging. Last year as well, I received a DC notice for raising student-related matters, and I have now received another notice for sharing my personal experience at WOFA. My goal has always been the betterment of our profession. Despite these challenges, I have full faith in the ICAI Disciplinary Directorate and am hopeful that I will receive justice once again. Thank you for being a pillar of support for the fraternity during this time.
Parveen Sharma@caparveensharma

I strongly support Anupam Sharma and the right of ICAI members to raise their concerns in good faith. It is really unfortunate that ICAI has initiated disciplinary action against a member merely for expressing his discomfort over the “VIP vs Non-VIP” culture observed at the WOfA event. Speaking about issues of equality, dignity, and proper treatment of members should not be treated as professional misconduct. Constructive criticism is necessary for any institution to improve. Using disciplinary action to suppress genuine concerns sends a wrong signal and affects the trust between members and their elected representatives.

My Experience at WOfA: The Rise of an Unacceptable 'VIP Culture' It is deeply disheartening to witness the creeping "VIP vs. Non-VIP" culture within an institution where every single member holds the same prestigious title of Chartered Accountant. My experience at the recent WOfA event was a stark reminder of how far we have drifted from professional equality. The disparity was glaring—plush sofas were reserved for the elite, while the chairs provided for ordinary members were barely fit for sitting. It is insulting to the dignity of our profession. What is most ironic is that many of the CCMs and RCMs, who are now acting as untouchable hosts, were the same individuals desperately requesting members for WOfA bookings using their codes just a few days ago. The discrimination didn't stop at the seating; it extended to the dining hall. For the first time in the history of our fraternity, separate lunch and dinner areas were designated for CCMs/RCMs and common members. Has our leadership become so "big" that even sharing a meal with a fellow professional is beneath them? These representatives, who personally visit our offices and plead for votes during election time, seem to have forgotten that their authority comes from us. WOfA 2.0 has turned out to be "Dhoka 2.0." An institution’s grace is built on mutual respect and equality, not on the hollow vanity of sofas and separate dining halls. As professionals, we must stand against this blatant VIP culture. Such humiliation of members and guests is simply unacceptable. @ruwatiaofficial @caparveensharma @CaHiteshm @aarchanay @atulmodani @theicai @RajeshSharmaBJP

I'm voicing concerns of CAs in India and abroad. They are the gatekeepers of our businesses and crisis managers, operationalizing government policies. Despite their crucial role, they feel threatened, with privacy and confidentiality at risk. I urge a CA Protection Act to safeguard them. The Big Four (Deloitte, PWC, E&Y, and KPMG) dominate India's audit scene, with huge mandates. We must encourage Indian CA firms to grow and reduce their influence.  : @VTankha ji in Rajya Sabha

#BREAKING Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla says he won't enter the House or occupy the Speaker’s chair until the no-confidence motion moved against him is discussed and voted upon Parliamentary rules do not mandate such a step, but Birla has described it as a voluntary decision He said he would not be influenced by pressure from either the government or the opposition. The discussion on the motion is expected on the first day of the second part of the Budget Session, beginning March 9 As per procedure, at least 50 MPs must support the motion for it to be admitted and taken up for debate by the House Opposition parties have given notice of a no-confidence motion against Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla Opposition said it was “pained at the manner in which the Speaker has consistently prevented Opposition MPs from raising issues of public interest” adding that parliamentary norms were not being upheld
