I’m currently in Jos. Video call me any time of the day, if I don’t show you electricity in my house, I owe you 50k. And no, I don’t even live in one of the high-income neighborhoods. In fact, my area used to be a kidnapping hotspot before security agencies stepped in. At this point, if I wake up and there’s no light, my first thought is “maybe my meter units finished,” not NEPA took the light.

AT LAST... JOHN ARUM AZI HAS BEEN SET FREE. The entire family of John Arum Azi was enveloped in overwhelming joy and relief as they welcomed him back home after enduring countless days trapped in the harrowing clutches of his kidnappers, a situation that seemed to stretch time itself and cast a shadow of despair over their lives. Anyone who has followed his story will undoubtedly remember the agonizing moment when a chilling video surfaced, showcasing what appeared to be a torture scene that rapidly spread across various social media platforms, capturing the attention and hearts of viewers worldwide. This disturbing footage was not just an abstract horror; it was a visceral reminder of the reality faced by John, and it prompted an outpouring of concern and sympathy from social media users who subsequently rallied for his release by demanding that the kidnappers return him safely to his loved ones. Today marks a significant turning point, as he is finally enjoying the freedom that had been cruelly snatched away. However, amidst the jubilation, the atmosphere on social media remains charged, with many voices urging his family to ensure that he seeks therapy and to arrange for a counseling appointment to help him navigate the psychological scars left by this traumatic ordeal. The potential for lasting effects, such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), looms large as a reality that cannot be overlooked, and it serves as a poignant reminder of the enduring impact such experiences can have on a person’s mental health. As a family, they are relieved and thankful for his safe return, all the while knowing that healing from this trauma is just beginning.

Funny fact... I usually tell people that if they follow the way I did somethings in medical school, they'll fail... For example, I'm one who really doesn't learn anything in class, maybe cause of my short attention span or maybe cause of the way things are being taught, so I read myself. My final year internal medicine jottings that I used to read, if it give it to people to use they'll fail the exams... It was tooooo large... I wanted to read for surgery that way also but I realised that if I did that, I'd fail the exams so I restrategized. I was a serious unserious person in medical school... I usually read a lot but I don't like going for lectures so I end up coming late almost always 😂🤣 I didn't usually jot in class and also ward rounds. I loved wardrounds because that's where I got to learn things but still I don't like jotting. It's so bad I've attended exams and it's on the line I was asking for pen. But don't be deceived, when the time comes to read I dey read! So yeah people know me that when I'm giving advice I give it Raw!

I work in maternity, so I’ve seen childbirth up close. It’s not “ordinary” it’s intense, risky, and sometimes life-threatening. So seeing people downplay it because of one statement is wild💔💔💔 You don’t have to agree, but at least respect what you clearly don’t understand.!!!

You are the strongest woman I know. Please, I repeat: nobody should ever ask what women bring to the table. It is a very stupid and silly question.

When I went to a Government hospital I began to really value the nurses at Bingham University Teaching Hospital. In the government hospitals the nurses just sit gist serve oral medication and some iv medications, call the doctors to do every other thing. In my facility at Bingham University Teaching Hospital, the nurses do so so much. They: Cannulate Serve IV medications Catheterize Blood transfusion Ng tube insertion Anything you can think about. Before a nurse calls you for cannulation they must have tried and tried and couldn't secure it. The emergency nurses are very trained to stabilize patients even before the doctor comes in the case he or she is busy. There are some lines if some doctors don't get we call some nurses and they'll cite it. ObGYN nurses take deliveries, episiotomy, do episiorrhaphy repair perineal tears, set up CTG etc As a house officer there you wouldn't do house boy work but you'll actually do the work of a doctor. I did my house job in the facility and I can tell you I can't relate to a lot of things happening in government facilities. When I was a house officer if I needed something for a procedure, the matron would be willing to get the trolley and stuff, everyone functions as a team. But with what I'm seeing in government hospitals, even an attendant can do the work nurses do because everything has been stripped of them, but then again even the little things doctors tell them to do they turn it to fight, they feel insulted, they set the doctor up and report them to the medical elders who doesn't even clarify from the doctors POV before passing judgement.
Nurse Wendy.@HubWendy

This is exactly how some Nigerian Doctors still want Nurses to carry tray ând follow them like dum baby. Don’t get me wrong, if I have a duty to perform as a Nurse, like setting up the trolley for a procedure or passing over an instrument to my doctor during a procedure in order to maintain sterility, why not? It’s my duty ând I was trained for it but carrying stuffs like this behind a doctor during ward rounds is archaic and primitive, though it’s very possible some of them (doctors) still operates like this in their different private hospitals. I can use tray or trolley to perform my professional duties ând not to carry it and follow a doctor like mgbiiiiiiiii Hehehe 😂 #Humour #humourbuttrue
