On the 100th day of school, 2HD ranked the things I say the most. Their list made me laugh, but also reflect. Classroom community is built not just on routines, but on shared moments of joy. Grateful for this group and all the learning (& laughing) we do together! @gems_daa

What an enriching weekend at NESA’s Educators Training Institute in Abu Dhabi with @gems_daa. We explored practical strategies for whole school wellness, with a spotlight on culturally responsive SEL and health curricula. Excited for the journey ahead! 👏

Grade 6 really enjoyed the math escape room we did today. They used their knowledge of rational numbers to solve puzzles and escape from Antarctica before the storm hit. They “stayed cool” under pressure and were all successful! 🌨️ @gems_daa

Using open-ended materials & nonfiction texts, Grade 2 demonstrated their learning about a continent of their choice. This ss created the animals, climate & landmarks like Mt. Everest in Asia! I ❤️ being a facilitator while my students lead the way. @EmilyCarrTVDSB @MrTuckerEd

Grade 1/2 has been diving into inquiry-based and student-led literacy centres. They’ve been interested in creating their own word searches based on a topic (great for vocab), researching their passions like soccer or dinosaurs & writing about Roblox. @MrTuckerEd @EmilyCarrTVDSB
