So many "fans" are completely devaluing localization as a craft in an effort to pretend that Undertale & Deltarune are easy games to translate. Some people are getting genuinely anti-art about all this

The whole Toby Fox situation is really exposing how many people don't know the difference between translation vs localization It's a lot more complex than just translating the text, especially with games so heavily reliant on wordplay, double meaning and dialog tone

Getting your favourite fics not completed is one thing, seeing them locked is another, authors deleting fics on AO3 is also another but authors standing in solidarity with other authors because of bullying and taking down their works too? I don’t think you realize how bad this is
