A Big Thank you to Service Personnel, NSA staff Members and management and our partners the youth led environmental volunteer group, Buzstop boys gh, who partnered with the NSA in the 2 Day National CleanUp Exercise, held in line with the President's directive. The Director General of the National Service Authority, Ruth Dela Seddoh, held an interview with the team lead of the BuzStop Boys and commended the group for their years of voluntary service to the nation and expressed the authority's interest in partnering with them going forward to champion the "Keep Ghana Clean" agenda. The Director General further disclosed that the authority has written to the Ministry of Local Government to deploy young graduates, particularly service personnel, as sanitation guards to help keep the country's cities and towns consistently clean. She noted that this initiative also forms part of a broader effort to make such cleanup exercises a routine practice rather than an occasional one.

In fulfillment of President John Dramani Mahama's directive, the National Service Authority joined the nationwide National CleanUp Exercise with visible enthusiasm, as staff and management came together to clean up the environs of the authority. Leading the charge was the Director General, Ruth Dela Seddoh, flanked by her two able deputies, Lieutenant Colonel Moses Dok Nach Kpeungu and Hon. Donkor Fuseini, who both rolled up their sleeves and got hands on with the exercise. The exercise also saw the participation of the Minister of Youth Development and Empowerment, Hon. George Opare Addo, who joined staff on the ground in a show of solidarity with the initiative. The clean up drive formed part of a broader national effort to instill discipline, promote public hygiene, and rekindle the spirit of communal labour that has long been a hallmark of Ghanaian society. Armed with brooms, rakes, shovels, cutlasses, gloves, and refuse bags, the team moved through the premises and its environs with purpose, clearing weeds, sweeping walkways, and disposing of waste properly, proving that leadership is not just about giving directives but also about setting the example. Speaking during the exercise, officials of the authority reiterated their commitment to keeping not just the NSA premises but the country at large clean, describing the initiative as a call to civic duty that every Ghanaian, regardless of position or status, must answer. The exercise ended with a strong resolve among staff to make such clean up drives a regular feature rather than a one off activity, in support of the President's vision for a cleaner and more sanitary Ghana.

Director-General of National Service Authority Calls for Greater Diaspora Investment in Africa's Agriculture at AATIS Ohio 2026 The Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), Ms. Ruth Dela Seddoh, has called on Africans in the diaspora and global investors to seize the vast opportunities within Africa's agricultural sector to drive economic growth and sustainable development. Speaking during the Africa Agriculture, Trade and Investment Summit (AATIS) Ohio 2026, held in Columbus, Ohio, Ms. Seddoh made the appeal during a two-day Summit. The summit was held under the theme, "Driving Economic Transformation through Agriculture, Trade and Strategic Investment." Addressing participants, Madam Seddoh highlighted the remarkable progress made by the National Service Authority to increase youth in agriculture through its growing involvement in agriculture. She noted that the Authority's agricultural initiatives are empowering young people, boosting productivity, and contributing significantly to national development. The Director-General underscored the critical role agriculture plays in ensuring food security, creating employment, and stimulating economic transformation across Africa. She stressed that agriculture remains one of the continent's greatest investment opportunities and urged investors to channel more resources into the sector. Ms. Seddoh further encouraged Africans living abroad, development partners, and private investors to invest confidently in Africa's agricultural value chain, emphasizing that agriculture will become the cornerstone of national economies in the years ahead. She concluded by reaffirming the National Service Authority's commitment to supporting initiatives that promote agricultural innovation, youth participation, and strategic partnerships to advance Africa's economic transformation and invited stakeholders to view investments in agriculture in Ghana and the work the Authority is doing with the youth as a worthwhile opportunity to explore.
