I'll never forget 18/19 messi man. I started watching proper in 2014 and I'm lucky to have witnessed 2015 in full, but 18/19 just felt different.
Even tho '15 was kinda the intermediary, elite playmaker, elite dribbler, elite finisher, very fast still.
But in 18/19 he WILLED the team to victory

His second point is correct, Messi was never elite at wing dribbling/transition dribbling cause it required elite PNP + Physicality Where Messi really is GOAT level is at tight space dribbling especially in zone 14 areas and beating multiple men with his body feints

Thank God I'm not the only one. I'm sure we will eventually feel happy and use the WC as weapon. But honestly, I just don't feel it rn. Our players bar Olmo and Cuba were average. Messi on the other hand was just out of this world. I'm only supporting NTs because of culers and if they're having shit tournaments, what's the point?
I'm not gonna watch kounde or araujo because he's a barca player, lol.
I blame this feeling on lamine/pedri, taking away the WC from messi without actually being the best versions of themselves.
Maybe, after all this final was not the best for us, it was the safest tho.

I think what causes this is I feel the players I had higher expectations for (lamine, pedri) failed to live up to it this WC.
Whereas messi, who just put in one of the greatest WC campaign ever (at fucking 39!!) deserved it more than the barca boys.
Had pedri/lamine put in an amazing tourney, I'd probably be jubilant rn. Just sucks that either way one of the two sides had to shed tears.
Ps: I only support national teams that have players I support at club level, and for me to enjoy following them at national they must be the ones pulling their nations through (lamine, pedri haven't this WC. Big up Cuba). I ain't ever supporting kounde,araujo at NT lol.

Like, I'm not even going crazy that 60% of our squad has just reached football heaven.
Aside from Ferran and Cubarsi, I'm not entirely buzzing for the rest of our players. Neither am I sad messi lost a final.
Maybe in few days after all the euphoria, it might sink in for me.
