Texas gerrymandered first. California responded by letting voters decide through Prop 50. The difference is Texas politicians drew illegal maps, and California voters approved theirs. This is a perfect example of fucking around and finding out.

The gerrymandered Texas map has been struck down in court, but California's Prop. 50 map remains. At the last minute, Newsom and the Legislature took out language saying California will only gerrymander if Texas does. We need to end this senseless redistricting war.
