One thing I like about the UK is their policy of DBS background checks during onboarding of new employees. The DBS checks help to determine if you’ve got any past criminal records or convictions. This policy ensures that people of questionable background aren’t hired. We lack such in Nigeria, that’s why criminals and lunatics are recruited into many organisations including Nigeria Police Force.
