ok, the dust has settled and i'm gathering my thoughts... today's auctions were beyond anything I could have imagined, truly surpassed all my expectations by a long shot. feeling immense gratitude for every single collector who showed up and supported a series that i poured my heart into. i'll be reaching out to each winner individually throughout the day 🖤 now for the big elephant in the room... i’m so sorry and frustrated about what happened with the SR website, not because of any extra profits but because of all the collectors who took the time and effort to collect a piece of art they connected with, and were stripped of a fair opportunity to do so. i won't let what happened tarnish the massive achievement of this series though! i’m incredibly grateful for the energy and support, never felt anything like this before... i can only make one guarantee and that is to continue showing up every single day with a new piece of art in my quest to explore and discover novel ways of expression through my art practice. btw yes, superrare fucked up... but i want to give a shoutout to @anloremi @superrarejosh and griffin for all the hard work they put into this project, credit where credit is due 🖤

Just to nip this in the bud early, $REKT is not meant to be a PVP coin or an attack on any other coin or community. Our OG community formed in July 2021 and has predominantly been NFT-based, with @rektguyNFT obviously being the the banner of our culture. I first entered crypto in Jan 2021, so basically my entire crypto journey has been with this community and for me it's not really just a community, it's like real internet friends and I've made many mates who I now know IRL. I genuinely believe most of my personal successes would not be possible with this community and so the idea behind $REKT is to reward loyal supporters who've stuck around with us for almost 4 years. At the end of the day I think people who exercise conviction and have a real belief in something often get their bounty if they wait long enough, and I hope this can be the big one for the Rekt believers. If you have been following any of my art stuff for the past 3 years you'll know that I have massive imposter syndrome from being an "artist" and haven't really found my right place. I really fucking love making art, and I really fucking love trading, and I'm not sure they're the most complementary interests especially when you have stakeholders such as collectors etc. What I would say though, is making these daily art pieces for @RektCoin has probably been the most fun I've had creating since I've started; there is something very liberating about creating whatever comes to mind without having the pressure of needing to sell it, and I feel like there is now a far more active viewer base than I've ever had which is very fulfilling. The unit structure of $REKT have obviously been replicated from that of $PEPE and $MOG which are two coins I've been heavily involved in the past and two communities I think are inter-cycle status. Tbh I'm surprised there are not more tokens that have learnt from these successes and a lot of the landscape has become rather homogenous with the standard SOL pumpfun contract and repetitive playbook. From my perspective the aforementioned tokens are projects to aspire to and capturing just a fraction of their accomplishments would feel like an achievement. For me a successful cycle from a pnl perspective consists of two parts; 1) for me to make money 2) for our community to make money, and we're locked in on the second part right now. As always, no promises of success, but I can promise you we'll give it our best shot. RWD.
