@_K0L0SS@nickycakes@Pirat_Nation Arch isn't a beginner friendly you should have tried feroda or ubuntu or mint something
And gaming on Linux isn't not recommended yet
@nickycakes@Pirat_Nation I tried I really did. For a 7 month period I tried arch and cachyos and I was always spending more time trouble shooting in terminal than I was gaming. Finally gave up and went back to windows. Much less frustration.
Microsoft released a new patch to fix 167 security vulnerabilities across Windows and related software.
Most importantly, two of them are zero-day vulnerabilities:
>CVE-2026-32201: A SharePoint Server spoofing flaw already being actively exploited in the wild.
>CVE-2026-33825: A flaw in Microsoft Defender that allows local attackers to gain SYSTEM-level access.
They also fixed remote code execution issues in Microsoft Office.
Guys If you use Windows, install these updates immediately especially if you run SharePoint or handle Office documents
At this point just install Linux

Why 4 GB RAM on Linux can feel “stronger” than 16 GB on Windows
The reason 4 GB of RAM on Linux can feel better than 16 GB on Windows is mostly about what runs before you even open an app.
When Windows boots, it starts many background services to cover every type of user: updates, indexing, security scans, telemetry, compatibility layers, and UI helpers.
Each one uses a bit of memory, and together they quietly consume several gigabytes while the system is “idle.” Linux takes the opposite approach.
It starts only what is essential and leaves everything else to the user. No constant indexing, no forced telemetry, no background helpers unless you enable them.
So with the same hardware, Windows may already be using a large chunk of RAM at rest, while Linux keeps most of it free for actual work.
That’s why Linux feels faster on low-RAM machines not because Windows is bad, but because Linux simply runs less by default.
