@plasticbincess i think getting into draft is fun if you have a good group or store nearby. casual commander is also mostly affordable too (i personally don’t like it but it is very popular). if you want you can print the cards you want in non tourney settings but that’s after you learn formats

@lesjayrose in theory yes but people just project their opinions onto characters they like so that they can ignore this

@_probka this mindset is so weird to me because it decreases the amount of media you can let yourself enjoy by 80%

@lesjayrose also the projection of “every character i like must share all of my moral beliefs” onto other people. “i only identify with characters that are 100% agreeable to me so you must do that too”

@lesjayrose literacy in general is on the decline, which is bad for more specific media literacy. everything has to be steven universe now because people need the media they consume to tell them what’s good and what’s bad and they can’t think for themselves

@DougPieTTV to be fair it’s probably fine as a 5/5 since it’s hard to guarantee the effect you steal will be useful. going to feel like leech a lot of the time and that card is bad, but this has a much higher ceiling
