@Wellutwt The more you educate yourself, the more you accept the nuances and naivness media narratives has brought to your lives. Nationalism, extremism ... Illusions to keep you under the belt no matter the ethnicity.

@t20tracker @michaelscottfc They'll keep him of course because that was a one shot long term investment. The player signing amounts I don't believe them to completely transparent, there's under tha hood cash understandably for retentions. Saim will definitely be retained but for a lower bound.

@michaelscottfc Doubt he’ll be this cheap. He’s by far the most exciting profile in the country & it’s not just about potential either. Hs already delivered a PSL season before. Destined to dominate the league. I’d keep him.

@aze3msiddiqui What's the cause of below par sports journalism in Pakistan? It feels like every question is pushing towards a controversy, do they get paid based on that? Agenda paddlers all around ... Why Isn't there a specific intellectual level one must pass to qualify as a journalist?

Aakash bhai, your whole argument is flawed and self-contradictory. At one stage, you say that flat decks are the demand of the audience and broadcasters, and in another response, you claim that fans just want to see close matches, and it doesn’t matter if they are high scoring or not. So, if high-scoring matches are not the demand of the audience, then what is the point of having pitches where 260 odd are chased down with balls to spare? Also, this whole notion that people demand flat decks is BS. There is NO DATA to prove that. It is being sold by the broadcasters/cricket boards, and that is exactly what is hampering IPL’s viewership worldwide. Ask any cricket fan, real cricket fan, and they will tell you that a 157 vs 155 is far more interesting than watching 260 vs 260. If you argue about the quality of the players, that is a flawed argument as well. You guys are paying 3, 4, 5x money to players. Your whole cricket economy is 10x the economy of any board. On top of that, your board acts like a bully and signs players for 3x the money who have already signed up with PSL franchises to cover for injured players. So yes, we don’t have the best players in the world, but we have enough to make it competitive, and that’s all we want. And once again, you are wrong. I am not looking at T20 cricket through the lens of conventional cricket. I am looking at T20 cricket from the lens of cricket as a sport, something we all should do. I don’t agree that if your SRH were playing in Lahore, against the same quality bowling attacks they face in the IPL, they would have scored 250. Out of 43 matches, we had one score of 250, which was an anomaly. That is an enough sample size. To counter that, I think every PSL franchise, barring Pindiz, would have scored 250 in IPL on given tracks too. Also, going by your argument, it seems that IPL is the epitome of cricket, and that’s where cricket should start and stop. For people like me, that is not the case. We still want to see competition between bat and ball. We don’t want robots bowling to 15-year-olds smashing them like a kid in the movie with a magic bat. Also, by your argument, people should stop watching any other league because they don’t have players of the quality of LSG, RCB, or GT. By this argument, people who watch the EPL should not watch any other football leagues. But thank God sports viewership does not work like that 🙏

@aze3msiddiqui Azeem bhai, modern T20 kaafi badal gya hai ...use abhi bhi conventional cricket ke lens se judge Krna galat hai ....masses at large (not die hard cricket fans) high scoring matches dekhna pasand krti hain and so does broadcasters ...aur flat wickets me ye bhi ensure hota hai ki+

@Babaristic It'll be done and dusted after some matches, Knockouts keep the essence of thrill and curiosity. Football has cups and tournaments alongside leagues, you cannot manage that stuff so league is the best bet we got.

@sshayaannn They have socal media managers for that very purpose so ... It's a New party, they'll take anything for now. On a side note a very obsolete tactic ny Iqrar, there's a huge gap bw netizens & people who come out on the field which is sole base of politics in our country.

If Noorish doesn’t want to become the next Behram, she should just focus on cricket, ignore all the PCB incompetence, and ask management about unfulfilled promises, bcz that could sadly be her end like Behram’s. I’m looking forward to her covering the women’s series next month.
PSL Memes@PSLMemesWalay

The questions Noorish Khan has been raising in press conferences have been genuinely impressive. Behram was also a strong addition to the press briefings a couple years ago. It’s high time we move away from journalists who build their careers on controversy and instead make space for more thoughtful, and intellectually honest voices in these pressers.
