Inspired by @CryptoHack__ ;) Thread around Latttice-Based Cryptography Reading For the past few months, with some amazing people, we have been learning lattice-based cryptography. These are some useful resources:

@frontstuff_io @rmaximedev I don't really recommend going about things this way for general development practice though unless you have good enough reasons to do such. It's a bit masochistic. Starting at a presumed baseline of fully ES5 (or at least ES3) compliant behaviours is generally more sane.

@frontstuff_io @rmaximedev Sometimes I really will go about doing this exact thing to the furthest extent possible. In such a case I am usually going to write initialization code to check for existence, sanity, and some degree of usually basic functionality tests, maybe with polyfills. Nothing for granted.

Is there a tool out there where I can input some JavaScript code and get a list of all the browsers/versions of Node that don't support it? And if not, what's your process to assess compatibility?

@annaecook Personally, I am against the behaviour of anything within an <img> tag object displaying any more than a single static frame. My guess for that behaviour not being the general default is solely about possible web compatibility/legacy reasons. For motion, video formats are better

@annaecook If I recall correctly: Firefox browser can optionally disable animation for all images. There is an about:config flag which enforces that behaviour. There should also be a number of web extensions for both Chromium and Firefox based browsers which can do that too. I use them.

@TomColetti It isn't uncommon that I have been punished or excluded from things in life because of what are legitimate medical conditions. Socially it is often punishing enough as people will see the appearance of a sad/weak person and take it as an opportunity to unload anger upon me.

@TomColetti For reference, I live in prolonged chronic pain, I have had unipolar major depressive disorder my whole life, and I go through a lot of symptoms of CPTSD. Any attempts to go about attaining ongoing professional help or support have not been successful for me.

Got meds today. Readjusting to them a bit now. Also got my first vaccine dose administered. Barely felt it. Nice.

In a "please just kill me" sort of way: This has hurt so long and I want it to stop so I might actually have the energy and strength to go about getting my meds here soon. I might miss them again today here. I don't know what to do.
